While at the parks with my kids, I noticed the sky getting very colorful. Thankfully I had my drone with me and when I put it up was blown away by the colors and colored haze over the city!
I wanted to visit a waterfall, but not one of the usual ones in the area. We are blessed in Hamilton Ont. with more than 100 waterfalls in and around the city. Making it the waterfall capital of the world. The best 10 or so are regularly visited by a lot of people daily, including Princess falls. A large waterfall that is along the 403 highway coming into the city from the west.
After spending the evening flying my drone and doing photos inside of this more than century old Westinghouse factory (Part 1 with those shots are here: We wandered around checking out the decay as the sun set and it got dark.
During the morning rush hour in downtown Hamilton Ont. I took a stroll to snap some black and white street photos for the #monomad challenge. It was a rainy and chilly morning but the variety of people and scenes made it more than worth it!
A friend and I started talking about getting out to do some light painting, but that quickly turned into a plan of exploring an old factory and flying my drone inside of it, in the evening. Then light painting inside of it at night.
This morning, I got out for a walk on the former Hamilton Sanatorium grounds. Directly across the street from one of the only Sanatorium buildings that remains (see the explore of that building here: ) are some ruins. Including a cement bridge over a small creek, patios from former buildings and now there is a rope swing in one of the trees. I was surprised to be joined by a couple of ducks in the creek as well!
