Not far from my village, where I grew up, there is a beautiful place Tršić. This village is the birthplace of the Serbian philologist and linguist Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic who lived in the 18th and 19th century.
He reformed the Serbian alphabet by creating a modern alphabet we are using now and he is the author of the first Serbian dictionary.
Several of his brothers and sisters died, so his parents named him Vuk, which means "Wolf" in English. It was previously believed that the name protects against evil spirits.
In this place Tršić, probably the most famous village in Serbia, the house where Vuk Karadžić lived has been preserved. Inside this house there are decorations and details from that period. Next to the birth house, there is also a memorial museum.

The nature in these places is very picturesque, plains and mountains surround this small village. Many tourists visit this place every year, children play in the meadows. There are also several restaurants where you can taste Serbian cuisine. The coolness of the river that flows through the central part of this complex pleases on hot days.
