I choose this as my entry for it's quite impactful to our theme this week and the message is truly deep when it comes to finding strength within ourselves and even shows or encourages us to be resilient in whatever life's challenges we may encounter. Our room overlooks this panorama at night, and I can't help but stare at the city lights that are strewn across the countryside like Christmas lights or stars. Twinkling, bright, reassuring, they make the entire city come to life. The way the lights cluster around the distant buildings makes it a very serene sight to behold. It's one of those small pleasures that causes you to stop and enjoy the present. I always feel grateful, at ease, and grounded after looking at this scene for some reason. This was photographed from my grandparents home in the city.

Amidst Super Typhoon Haiyan's devastating damages in November 2013, many children in Leyte were left without anything, including a pencil to write. But what began as a simple online raffle a week before the storm turned into a beautiful story of hope, compassion, and friendship. Hi, everyone! This is Rizza, and I am new to @openmic community. Like everyone else, singing for me is my pastime and my sense of relief. I love it for it brings joy and energy in myself. It helps me remember words, improve pronunciation, and I feel more confident. I'm not a good singer, but I'm fond of it. Today, I welcome you to Hive Open Mic Week 262 for the theme Holy Week---I will sing Healing by Deniece Williams. I don't have any idea about the history of the song, however, I find the lyrics so uplifting, and though the song notes don't fit with my vocals, I'm pleased that it fits with the celebration, and I still love singing it randomly.
