I spent all day in a prospecting training workshop, and will spend all of tomorrow in the second part of it. This is for sellers to improve their pipeline generation, and people have travelled from across the Nordics for it. The training was provided to one group in Finnish last year, who raved about it. While the training is okay and there are some decent tips, it is also a little bit annoying, because there is essentially nothing new in any of it, because I have gone through all of this with the exact same group of people over a year ago.

I wrote an article last night about banning social media for children, which is a drive that is gathering momentum. However, what a lot of people forget is that the minimum age to use at least most of the popular social networks, is actually already 13 - as "imposed" by the platforms itself, which begs the question, what actually changes if the laws change?

The Australian government is in the process of "banning" social media for children, though the details haven't yet been formalized. And while I am not a big fan of government intervention into the lives of people to socially engineer outcomes, I am also not a fan of poor parenting that has so little control over what their children consume. This covers more than their digital diet though, for as I have said before, I think that a lot are also physically failing their children in what they feed them.

I have been playing a little with Olivia of the Brook recently, which is a Life, Epic reward card from the new set that I only have to Level 3 at the moment, but I think it is a pretty amazing card. It's "mimic" ability is one of the most interesting out there at the moment, where at the beginning of each round, it picks up a random ability from the enemy team, as well as having a chance of stealing an ability from an attacker that hits her.

I was reading a "funny" story about Gen-Z, where many feel their financial situation is holding them back from being in romantic relationships. Now of course, this isn't ha-ha funny, it is more ironically funny, because many of the same people have said that they value their time more than work, and that they prefer not to be in committed relationships. Both of these things I have predicted for several years are going to come back to haunt them.

“Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water”A few months ago we cut down a couple birch trees and then chopped them into firewood. This wood has to dry before it is burnable though, and we kept it outside under a tarpaulin, where it should stay for about a year before we can use it. But with the garden landscaping starting in a couple weeks, we had to move it into the garage already. It was only about a twenty meter shift, but I have racked up over 11,000 steps today, and other than a short gym session, haven't left the house.
