It was a very fast getaway to Ontario, Canada over the Labor Day weekend. The weather was amazing, the food fantastic, and the company of my family made the trip worthwhile.

My son @hilarski and his wife @anahilarski flew up from Panama City, Panama to visit family and friends. It was the first time my husband had met Anabell and our grandson, Maximus. We had a splendid time visiting many attractions around the falls area.

We are sitting in line waiting to cross through the customs at Buffalo, New York to cross the Rainbow Bridge entering Canada. The trip only took us 1 1/2 hours to get to the falls from where we live in western, N.Y.

To the far left is the Marriot Hotel where we stayed for the weekend. The staff were all so kind and oh my goodness the buffet breakfast was outstanding.

This was the view from the 31st floor of the hotel from my son's room of the Canadian Falls.

The American Falls are to the left and you can just make out the Rainbow Bridge in the distance. These photos were taken around 9:30 a.m. and you can already see how busy it is getting with the people gathering along the river's edge.

I am amazed at the amount of water that flows over the falls from Lake Erie. Also, the sound of the falling water is quite loud, and the mist is very cool on a hot, sunny day.

My daughter-in-law was so excited to see the falls on her first visit to Canada.

The water is so pretty with the blue-green hue. It does not look far down from this vantage point, but it is a long way down to the river from the top of the falls.

You can get a little bit of perspective by seeing the size of the boat and little people on the "Maid of the Midst" below.

This is the view at 9:00 p.m. while thousands of us are waiting for the 10:00 fireworks show. I still can't believe how many people gathered for the event. The diversity of the crowd from all over the globe was fascinating to see.

The fireworks were so beautiful and my grandson really enjoyed seeing them with us.

It was really nice to be down at the falls to see them lit up at night. This was the first time I had ever seen them lit in different colors in person.

Here is my grandson and son @hilarski in the hotel lobby getting ready to go to the Waterpark for the day. I hope you enjoyed seeing a few photos of Niagra Falls and I will see you all soon.

Thank you @tattoodjay for this fun, weekly #wednesdaywalk posting community.
