Hello Ladies,
This weeks’ topics are so interesting, I decided to write about both.
Books or Movies
I’ve always been a book person. Even now, although I have problems with my eyes and can no longer read for hours on end. Books are more detailed than a movie. I feel a stronger connection to the characters in book form and I like to visualize the what, who, where, when, and how. This is possible because of the detailed content.
When I was younger, I could sit up all night and read a book. I’m talking about novels. I like dramas, romance, and biographies. I was an avid reader and still prefer books till this very day. I use an electronic device these days whenever I do read.

My Mobile Devices
I have owned a mobile device since the early 80’s. I have owned many different brands and types. I started out with the famous Nokia brand. It was much like a cordless home phone but a little smaller. As time went on, and different style came to the market, I moved on to flip phones. I’ve owned Blackberry’s, Motorola’s, LG’s, Samsung’s, & a few other names that weren’t so popular.
Benefiting From My Cell Phone
I once bought a $700 phone in the early 2000’s made by HP. Known for computers, this phone was like holding a mini computer in your hand that you could make calls from. I even had Microsoft office on my phone, which was part of the reason I bought this particular phone. I was in college at the time & this phone allowed me to do my school work while I was on the go. This was when having a cell phone became a thing I couldn’t live without one, but I also promised to never pay such a ridiculous price for a device ever again. Even though the technology of a cell phone today is what your paying for, you can still find a decent phone for less money then $1500 to $2000 for them. I look at that as an equivalent to that $700 phone I bought 25 years ago.

My Present Cell Phone
I now own a Samsung A25. This phone is a midline phone. It cost me around $200 about a year ago. I still look at the others but I refuse to pay the cost for the latest top of the line cell phone like Samsung Galaxy S25 & Iphone16.
I would like to have one of those ‘Samsung Galaxy Z Fold’ phones though but just don’t see paying $1500 or more for it.
I would love to have this one which I found on Amazon for around $1400.

I’m am however considering a older model which I seen for about $550.
I still think of it as a little pricey, but I like the feature of it being a phone & can open it up to be like a tablet. I like the functionality that you get for the cost not to mention 256 GB of memory. If I saw it possible to get, I would. However, I wouldn’t pay much more for a cell phone in todays’ market.

Choice of Type & Brand
I choose an android phone over the Iphone simply because that’s all I ever used and a couple of other facts like, using an Iphone is a learning curve if you didn’t always use one, I know this because I tried some years ago and it didn’t go so well. The main reason I don’t care for the Iphone is that Apple charges you for nearly everything. If you don’t pay your bill, they stop you from using your apps. My granddaughter, couldn’t pay her bill one time and not only did they cut her service off but she couldn’t access her free games even on wifi or any other device, this doesn’t happen with an android phone.
As for the brand, I prefer Samsung. Samsung has been around for many years & has taken cell phones to the next level. Now I don’t buy any other brand. I like that they now have a line of affordable phones that carries some of the same features as the top galaxy phones so that those who can’t afford $1500 for a cell phone can still enjoy the amenities of a galaxy phone.
Thanks For Reading!!
See Ya Next Time!!
