**_Making a ground change and positive effect in your life is
determined on how badly you desire the change to take place_**

I have read so many times that pain, hurt, and discomfort are the best motivation for a man to take actions towards changing his life. The constant pain he feels fuels his desires to take action; the discomfort he feels and the hurt aggregate the desire to not take actionable steps.
It is funny how the two different books/contexts I read today discussed the same thing: your desire and the action you take based on those desires. My key takeaway from my reading today is: If you desire it enough, no form of opposition is great enough to keep you from getting the change you want.
A popular example from the Bible is the blind man who heard that Jesus was passing—knowing the stories about how Jesus has healed so many people—desired to see again. He began to shout out to Jesus to get his attention but the people around him were trying to keep him shut but he continued calling out to Jesus until he was heard and his desires were granted.
Aside from this story in the Bible, we have many individuals who have shown a great deal of desire to change their lives and they did. Let us take another example; we have the popular baseball player, Michael Jordan. When he was in high school, he was kicked out of the basketball team because he was not good enough. He desired to be in the team, to be the best out there so he went into training, pushing himself and working hard thoroughly on what he wanted—on his desires. Today, Michael Jordan is known as one of the best basketball players in history.
In these two stories, you can see some form of similarity between the examples. Both individuals were in a place of discomfort and pain; they both desired to make a change in their lives; they both stuck towards the goal of their desires and took action towards that change. At the end, their desires were powerful enough to get the change they wanted, no matter the form of opposition.
A Personal Story
Why I believe this principle is true is because there have been many instances in my life where I desired something and it came to reality and that was because I kept them in my thoughts, I kept pursuing it, and every action and decision I took was the sole purpose of that goal. They are just too many of them but I will share one with you.
At the end of my high school, I desired to study mechatronics engineering. I was told that to study the course it will take a great deal, and that most schools are highly selective when giving admission to that course. I kept the goal in my thoughts; I pursued it. Even when I went through polytechnic and studied electrical electronics engineering, I didn't forget my goal of studying mechatronics engineering. So I took action, bought an admission form, and wrote the exams but I was not selected to study the course and was told that I would be given another course if I wanted to enter the school. I told myself, I prefer to wait for another year.
Indeed, I waited for another year, not forgetting my goal and what I wanted. I took another admission form and applied to the same course. I made sure to prepare twice as hard as I did before and this time, I got the admission. The dream I once had became a reality because I kept the desire in mind, nurtured it, stood against opposition, and took actions towards the goal. Now today, I am a graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics Engineering.
There are many more encounters that I have had because I nurtured my desires and took action because I desired it badly enough. The main secret is to keep nuturing the desire; don't forget it; don't lose it. Let it be your thought every morning you wake up and also be your thought every time you go to bed.
As you nurture it, make sure to plan on how to make the desire a reality and the necessary action to take. Before you know it, you will find what was once a thought, a dream, is now a reality.
