Hi, friends!
Season 2005 was the last one with the record number of works teams in the WRC category and at the end of that season we saw exodus of Peugeot, Mitsubishi, Škoda and even Citroen as a factory team.
Yeah, they were running with the help of their satellite team from Belgium called Kronos Racing while they were testing new C4 WRC during the sabatical year. But they sent their first driver and WRC champion of previous two seasons Seb Loeb to drive an old Citroen Xsara WRC with Kronos Racing team and they were also more then good.
Kronos had two more drivers at that time - Xavier Pons and young Dani Sordo. Now you now that Sordo is at the top of the sport 18 years (don't forget that he won Junior WRC crown in 2005).
Ford had double WRC champion Marcus Gronholm and Mikko Hirvonen in the 2nd car. Subaru was with 2003 champion Petter Solberg and Australian Chris Atkinson.
But enough of my story. Watch the coverage of WRC Rally Corsica 2006, event also called rally of one thousand corners. Please enjoy...
