Witnessing The Beauty Of The Grand Mosque With The Influence Of Architecture From Various Countries

From a distance, I have witnessed the grandeur of a grand mosque in the city of Medan. A mosque dominated by several black domes and soft bluish green walls.

Time flies so quickly and I am amazed how this building from the past is still standing and continues to amaze with its beauty. This mosque has been standing since 1909.

Before actually entering the mosque area which requires visitors to take off their sandals, we will find an entrance gate like a European-style building.
After I passed through the main gate, I left my shoes in the area provided. This is intended to keep the mosque area clean.

The black dome in the main area of the mosque consists of 4 domes. On the sides of the mosque there are corridors with pillars that form beautiful curves. We often see these pillars in the Islamic kingdoms of Spain.

This grand mosque was built by a Sultan who once led the Deli Sultanate (while currently in Indonesia the sultanate is no longer in effect because it has implemented a Republic system). However, the legacy of the Sultan in the form of a mosque and palace still stands strong.
It is only natural that a sultan wants the best to be remembered and the building materials of this mosque were imported from other countries, through references that I read through Indonesian online newspaper pages

Entering the mosque area there is a staircase and this entrance area also has beautiful arches. The layout is also very good for taking pictures, especially to capture the moment here.
We begin to see the walls of the mosque decorated with ornaments in the form of plants, especially flowers.

The windows consist of stained glass imported from China. Look at this stained glass, it will be very beautiful when exposed to light. It feels like I feel the blessings radiating from this mosque.

Then walk to the side corridors of the mosque to go to the side door of the mosque. In the corridors there is also marble with beautiful motifs. As stated by a reference, the marbles of this mosque were imported from Italy and Germany.

These corridors look very beautiful especially when the color of the sky will soon show the time of sunset.
Along our steps and every corner of the mosque will never be empty. The corners of the mosque are always filled with beautiful ornaments.
Then I headed to the main dome of the mosque on the inside which is usually an important part of a mosque. This dome area has eight Turkish-style arches.
With dome support pillars made of marble. It looks even more majestic.
The ornaments on the main dome have a mix of Iran and Egypt. But the mosque lights are recognized as being imported from France.
There are many architectural influences to build a mosque which is currently a religious tourist spot that must be visited if you visit the city of Medan besides seeing the Maimun Palace owned by the founder of this mosque.
The grandeur of this grand mosque is also a witness that the Sultanate era was once glorious. Leaving a mosque that still stands strong. I hope this mosque continues to be maintained because in fact there are many mosques left over from the past that are not kept clean.

So far I am very proud that in my province there is a mosque that is already a century old and still well maintained.
