Over the last few months, the Hive Discord server has been hopping with activity. Seeing all the Hiveians talking and exchanging ideas has been so much fun. As always, not everyone agrees with each other, but the discussions I have witnessed have been civil, and it warms my heart to see people working out issues in nonabusive ways.

The year was 1988. It was May. I had just spent another restless night on the couch trying to sleep. My belly was so huge that to turn over, I had to stand up, grab my pillow, move it to the other end of the couch, and lie down. I still had three more weeks before the little Alien inside me was born.

Today, I faltered. I was angry. I am still angry. It's going to take me a bit to get over being angry.I should be angry at myself, but I'm not mature in my thinking at this precise moment. Right now, I am verbally sharing my anger with my family. I blamed them for certain behaviors towards me.

Hive turns five, and what a wild ride it has been. In the Hive birthday post, they made a contest asking you to write about your favorite Hive project. A post like this seems a simple task. All you have to do is think about the project that most impacted you while on Hive.

I look for the good in 2024. Usually, this would be easy for me, but this last year has been challenging.To write this post, I had to dig deep to find the positive highlights I had this last year involving Hive.There are 365 days in a year. I had to have had something good happen in the last year to want to write a post about it. It saddened me that I could not come up with an answer right away.

It started raining while I was trying to sleep in the small bed. Water slashed across the panes of glass, making it sound like a crystal symphony had begun.I was almost lulled to sleep when I noticed my Mother walking blindly down the corridor, mumbling to herself that I must have left. Still speaking out loud, she told the walls that water had started pouring into her place, and she had best call someone to fix it.
