Whoops, that was a big fuckup. Only 4 weeks ago I was intent on dumping anything Splinterlands. The cards, the nodes, the SPS, the Land, the DEC, the XBOT tokens… it was all going and HIVE would be the benefactor. For the most part, my mindset is unchanged and today I have zero nodes, less than 400 SPS, zero XBOT tokens, all my DEC, many of my cards and most of the land.
What an imposing sight, a daunting red-bricked house over a hundred years old and ripe for exploring. I wish I could say the inside was as interesting as the cover image, but that would be a lie.Parkhurst'; it was named in 1905, and was a private residence until 1918 when it became 'Eastwood Estate's Children's Home’. According to my history brain, World War I had just finished and I would guess the town of Rotherham would be in quite a state.
SourceI try to avoid posting three extra strange songs in a single, 'Alternative Weekend.' If you, the reader, have never heard of any of the artists, it may not draw you in at all.My last 'Alternative Weekend' post was about 'Cardiacs', an extraordinary quirky band that few have discovered. On this occasion, it's back to three different songs, with varying tempos.
We knew this trip to South Yorkshire, (actually one of two visits) would generate little else other than derps. I don't particularly care so long as there are some redeeming features to view. If it’s a large empty hovel then I will give it a miss. I distinctly remember two such places in this area. One had little left, besides a growling dog with large yellow fangs, poised and ready to attack, while the other was a shell, with a football inside one large room.
Sometimes you get a slice of inspiration from someone else. Yesterday @pharesim’s post did just that. He describes his Web Tool as 'a small tool', and its function to me was irrelevant as I was far more interested in what was behind it..., the code. Being the geek I am, all kinds of ideas started springing into my mind.
SourceI have never heard anything so crazy, and they are getting into me. How I managed to click on a Cardiacs link I don’t know…, but I am happy I did. They are impossible to pigeonhole. Each song is quite different from the last, except for Tim Smith’s vocal, and I never know what to expect.
