I glared at the box with hatred and fury. Could I distract Mort long enough to smash that vile piece of hardware into small pieces, and stuff them up his arse?Maybe not the second part, in fact, that's a huge shudder. Mort was a chunky bloke and while not fat… if he's still alive, I am quite sure he will now rank amongst the British obese honourees.
From my very first glimpse of 'Westfield House', I was thinking 'builders'. Through the anti-climbing fencing I could see little other another fucked up old Victorian mansion, but had this nagging feeling.Builders tend to renovate, clearing away the old and implementing the new. They also remove any atmosphere, sweep away the ghosts hiding in the dusty corners and stick wooden frameworks inside that are far from the 1870s look I am searching for.
"I don't know where @grindle got the name, 'Gypsy Farm' from", I explained to @anidiotexplores as we tentatively approached a decaying house in the middle of nowhere. Not a sound came to my ears, besides the gentle undulating breeze of summer.
Whoops, that was a big fuckup. Only 4 weeks ago I was intent on dumping anything Splinterlands. The cards, the nodes, the SPS, the Land, the DEC, the XBOT tokens… it was all going and HIVE would be the benefactor. For the most part, my mindset is unchanged and today I have zero nodes, less than 400 SPS, zero XBOT tokens, all my DEC, many of my cards and most of the land.
What an imposing sight, a daunting red-bricked house over a hundred years old and ripe for exploring. I wish I could say the inside was as interesting as the cover image, but that would be a lie.Parkhurst'; it was named in 1905, and was a private residence until 1918 when it became 'Eastwood Estate's Children's Home’. According to my history brain, World War I had just finished and I would guess the town of Rotherham would be in quite a state.
SourceI try to avoid posting three extra strange songs in a single, 'Alternative Weekend.' If you, the reader, have never heard of any of the artists, it may not draw you in at all.My last 'Alternative Weekend' post was about 'Cardiacs', an extraordinary quirky band that few have discovered. On this occasion, it's back to three different songs, with varying tempos.
