Started playing Splinterlands again after quite some time. Was welcomed by an ok rental DEC distribution, which is all gone and almost already forgotten. Have switched from playing mostly on the mobile app to in the browser because of missing features and information in the app. Although I still prefer the layout and smoothness of card-selecting in the app! A bit curious to what y'alls preference is?
Started out pretty ok, with some nice win streaks and a satisfying number of reward chests to claim. Having fun in and through Bronze, even getting into Silver. Not the biggest brag claim, but I felt: "Hey! Not doin' too bad!".š
But now I'm down in a slump...
The win streaks are minimal, so are the reward points and chests.
I'm loosing battles to level 1 starter cards put in weird positions more often than what I'm comfortable with...
Don't have the highest level cards or expertise, but I thought I had some of the basics figured out at least!
( Got some of my mojo back after writing this, except for in the brawl battles. The final results isn't in yet, but it ain't looking to good... Sorry 'bout that, guys!š¬ )
I'm wondering if any of you have some tips or experience you want to share?
Both in the card play and Splinterlands economics.
I'm not going for Diamond League and maximum returns/rewards, but I would like to grow.
Also, the swamp mention is of course a reference to the new Land expansion.
I don't want (or have) to use a lot of money on Splinterlands lands because of hype and FOMO. But I am tempted.
What I am afraid of is that without land assets going forward, Splinterlands won't be fun anymore. That progression and rewards won't be possible anymore.
Like playing without a spellbook.
So yeah, definitely some FOMO going on.
Asking for your opinions and knowledge again. What have you understood about the new Land expansion rolling out these days? Will it be an essential part of Splinterlands?
š Thanks š
