Honoring Our Heroes: Reflections on a Visit [Weekend engagement : 001]

The visit to Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology in Saidpur was a truly heartwarming experience for me and my father. We were there to look at some properties, but the real reason for our visit was to see the University Hostel, which was named after my grandfather, Shaheed Doctor Zikrul Haque Hall. My grandfather was a doctor, freedom fighter and the first elected MP in Saidpur Nilphamari. The fact that the University authority had given such respect to my grandfather was an incredibly emotional and proud moment for my father. As we arrived at the University, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the grandeur of the place. The campus was vast and beautiful, with buildings and gardens that seemed to stretch on forever. As we made our way towards the Hostel, I could sense my father's excitement growing with every step. He had told me so much about my grandfather and his achievements, and I could tell how much it meant to him to see his father's name immortalized in this way. As we approached the Shaheed Doctor Zikrul Haque Hall, I was struck by how impressive it looked. The building was large and imposing, with a modern design that blended seamlessly with the surrounding architecture. The nameplate on the front of the building was an imposing reminder of the legacy my grandfather had left behind. I could see the pride in my father's eyes as he looked up at the building, and I knew that this moment would stay with him forever. As we entered the building, I was struck by the level of care and attention that had gone into creating such a wonderful place. The hostel was modern and spacious, with comfortable rooms and all the amenities that a student could need.
