“You'll be at the spot ba?” I snapped my head towards the direction the voice came from. I shook my head tiredly. Chidi never learnt. I got up from my chair and headed towards the parlour. “Yeah.” I heard Chidi say as he closed the door.

“I've always told you that you're not smart enough to write books! You never listen!” I watch him flip through the pages of my novel. For the first time in my life, I was confident about one of my works, I believed this would be my first published work. My big break.

“I got a new phone!” I screamed as I got into my friend's house, my smile lightening up my face as I lifted the package above my head and walked inside my friend's house, where four of my friends sat. They had just come back from class and were sprawled on the floor and bed just typing away on their phones. The first person to notice me was Stella, she looked up from her phone and smiled warmly at me.

“I can't seem to find the book I want anywhere!” I sighed as I put the book back on the shelf. I was searching for a replica of Harry Potter. I was immersed in the full series, and I felt a void after I was done reading the PDF. I wanted the hard covers to keep and reread because Kindles are great but hard covers books would always hold a place in my heart.

“Anna!” I pushed open the door to my younger sister's apartment; she never locked her door, even after the countless warnings I had issued to her. Stepping into the apartment, I stared at the floor of the apartment; it was a safety hazard; bottles, clothes, and everything that belonged in drawers were scattered on the floor. I tiptoed over the bottles and placed my bag close to the edge of the door.

I have a lot of nicknames in my house: bookworm, bedworm, sleep worm, and my favorite and longest phone bug. As long as devices are interested I know how to handle it within minutes of touching it. It's my strongest suit and my life's work, I recommend my family as testifiers. But that's by the way, as a certified phone bug I'm going to share with you my top three pet peeves. As technology grows it eliminates some but some things never change. A disorganized home page is my first pet peeve, it is one of the most infuriating one too I might add. Whenever I'm with my mum's phone I'm fighting the urge to scream. They're so many disorganized apps, weird fonts, extra large icons and the brightness might as well be the same with the sun. Over the years with each new phone I learn how to probably arrange my phone's homepage, fit my changing aesthetics. The colour matches the icon, the icons are limited to crucial ones I need to open daily to maintain my streak like Duolingo and my you version app. The clock is in 24 hour format, the wallpaper is a cute cartoon I derived from Pinterest and the world seems same every time I unlock my phone. That is art and I'm sad that my mummy has refused to let me redo her homepage. Oh well.
