While I was super grateful for the nomination, I felt really unhappy not making top 6. Feelings are normal and they make us human but that particular feeling was quite intense for me, so I decided to evaluate my feelings. I do that often because feelings are fickle, but they could also influence the decision-making process and should not be ignored all the time. Many gospel songs from that era were usually choral and upbeat, songs like Stomp and many timeless classic worship songs. He’ll do it again is a song I grew up listening to. I think beyond emotions and words, it communicates a message worth remembering always, well my brief bout with “adulthood” has taught me that, again! This song has been on my mind for a few days now, so it naturally felt right to choose it for my entry this week, especially because of its simplicity. I have so much to be grateful for. I graduated from university yesterday, and this whole period has been one of deep reflection for me. Reality check, you know? 😂 Like, it’s really, truly over. I recently completed my bachelor’s degree and this month happens to be my convocation (Yaayy 💃🏾). My engineer friends were inducted the other day and it was my first time having something to celebrate with these my friends, I felt pretty emotional. I felt like I was receiving the title with them because these were my closest friends throughout my study. I’ve known some of them since we were trying to study for the entry exams and we remained very cool till the very end.
