Hello everyone.
Some time back I visited Vlašić mountain in Travnik. Vlašić is mountain ridge in central Bosnia and Herzegovina with highest peak of 1943 meters above the sea level. It is popular destination to visit especially during winter season. Ideal place for hiking and exploring nature with stunning views.
I explored Galica view point and popular swing or Ljuljačka. My first time on Vlašić mountain during summer.
We started our walk here. From the beginning you can feel that this place is calming and relaxing. I did visit mountain before during winter but I did not expect this lovely scenery.
Travnik and mountain Vlašić are famous for its chess. These meadows are feeding places for sheep and no wonder the cheese itself is very delicious. I believe this wooden hut is used by people who have their sheep flock here.
As you walk closer you feel that something is about to show itself to you.
First views of mountain appear.
There is a wooden bank waiting for you on the end.
The closer you the more of a glimpse you catch of the scenery. And with each step there is more.
Reaching the top and first view. Such elegant and calming scenery. You can see houses at the bottom and mountain is climbing toward you covered in green forest. At some point the mountain even touches the clouds. It is quite nice feeling seeing this in front of you.
There is path to this side of the mountain. I went for other side. Maybe I could go both ways. I hope that is my homework for next time if I visit here.
You want to see more and explore more. So lets move there.
Terrain here is hiking and walking friendly. No high grass or bushes.
As you go farther the scenery is more magical.
At this point the clouds seem to touch the mountain.
On this plateau there are more wooden banks and more views.
It seems like this landscape calls you to explore more.
And here is famous swing or Ljuljačka. It is quite big and you are go very high.
Of course I tried it and it was extraordinary. You fly high with beautiful nature around you.
After splendid time here we went to the ski centar on Vlašić mountain. There was no snow at this time of the year but there are other interesting activities.
Visiting mountain Vlašić during summer was excellent decision. There are more hiking trails to explore and activities to do beside skiing. Breathtaking views, green meadows and waterfalls. I am for another visit and bigger hiking adventure.
