The Mississippi River was supposed to crest yesterday; however, with additional rain and showers in the forecast, the crest date has been pushed back to Thursday of this week. If I recall from the news yesterday, the river is currently at its third highest level since river recordings began in the mid 19th century. This photo is of Lock and Dam number 6...and yes, the flood gates are wide open.
