Hello portrait photography lovers!

Today I want to pay tribute to a part of the culture of two countries I visited a few years ago, which I consider very beautiful.

*** On one hand, we have Spain, a country with a culture that transcends its borders, and on this occasion, it is showcased in these portraits that evoke one of the traditional dances of the Canary Islands, performed by dancers from the Rumores del Teide dance group.

The distinctive costumes, the complicity in the courtship ritual between men and women through fluid movements and playful smiles, are aspects that stand out in these dances that define the identity of this unique region.

*** On the other hand, with a different outfit and more dynamic movements, a girl, a member of the dance group El Corazón de América, caught the camera lens and captivated me with the steps that made us smile as she glided through the air of *Alma Llanera*, a cultural tradition of Venezuela declared a Common Good.

*** Thus, my tribute is also directed to Venezuela at a time when this little girl's smile brightens our day, just as I hope it will do for you.

Hoy quiero hacer un homenaje a parte de la cultura de dos países en los que he podido estar hace unos años y que considero muy hermosos.

*** Por un lado, España, país con una cultura que trasciende sus fronteras y en esta ocasión se nos muestra en estos retratos que evocan a uno de los bailes tradicionales de las Islas Canarias manifiestos por bailarines del grupo danzario Rumores del Teide.

Lo típico del vestuario, la complicidad en el ritual del cortejo entre hombres y mujeres a través de movimientos fluidos y sonrisas pícaras, son aspectos que destacan en estas danzas identitarias de una región especial.

*** Por otro lado, con un diferente vestuario y movimientos más dinámicos, una niña, integrante del grupo danzario El Corazón de América, atrapó el lente de la cámara y me cautivó con los pasos que nos llevaron a sonreír con su deslizar por el aire de *Alma Llanera*, tradición cultural de Venezuela declarada Bien Común.

*** Así, a Venezuela va dirigido también mi homenaje en momentos donde la sonrisa de esta niña nos ilumina el día, tal y como espero lo haga con ustedes.
