I wake up early in the morning to cook breakfast and prepare my sling bag and our water container for my Morning Walk but this time I wanna do it away from home, which we need to ride a bus first before reaching the place. I am glad my youngest daughter walked with me this time. That way she can also have some vitamin D from the morning Sun. After our breakfast we leave home to travel for almost one and half hours. The traffic is not that bad because it is early morning and the sun doesn't shine yet ,so it is a perfect time and place to do the walking. We arrived safe and sound to Plaza Independencia (Indepence Plaza) in Cebu City, Philippines.

The place was so beautiful and it is a good place to walk as an exercise for it was big and full of colorful flowers, shadows of big trees and with benches that you can sit on when you got tired of walking. The plaza has a playground and that is what my daughter wants to enjoy but suddenly the guard won't allow kids or anyone to go and play there because it needs renovation first, according to the Security Guard. So we just go on walking and looking at different flowers around the whole place. We also found a Wishing Well and we throw coins and makes a wish too, who knows our wish would come true.
Plaza Indepencia of Cebu was called Plaza de Armas in the early 1600 and served as a public square used as a military training and parade ground. The site symbolizes independence and freedom of the province against its conquerors. The most beautiful thing about this place was that it was well maintained and clean and made sure it would not be ruined and the place is so clean with fresh air.

We do enjoy the plaza until we get tired of walking and then we sit on the bench and drink water.I was surprised my daughter didn't complain nor get irritated of walking this time and that's because she enjoyed the place and it was our first time exploring here.We decided to eat early lunch before we go back home. So we found the nearest fast food to eat. My daughter chose Jollibee. Going back home we walked to the bus stop and saw the Monument of Rajah Humabon. Rajah Humabon was the first Christian Leader and the recorded chiefs in Cebu who encountered Ferdinand Magellan in the 16th century. He welcomed the spaniards with blood compact to sealed their friendship.

Indeed; it was a fruitful day we spent on walking, exploring the beautiful place and learning the history of our ancestor’s. We are blessed by the cloud covering the Plaza while we are there. I am looking forward to doing more walking as an exercise and discovering more beautiful places to collect memories. That way I have lots of photographs to look back at when I am too old to walk.
