Now if you just happen to look in at the the Friday chess tournament score board today you may have thought the tournament scoreboard was upside down. As one of the lowest rank score player was at the very top of the scoreboard. That player remained at the top of the scoreboard for more than five minutes. Let me tell you who ever that player was had a big smile the entire time. Now all of the tournament players are my favorite and one favorite just smiled and another said take a screenshot.
Taking a screenshot was a great idea because like the title say
Success is often Fleeting! So if I can take one moment to be serious (not really) it’s great advice for everyone
(take a screenshot of your success no matter how fleeting it is).
The chess communities have some great tournaments with very strong players from all over the world. One great thing about the tournaments is that everyone is welcome. From beginner to Master all is welcome.
One thing that makes our chess communities great is that many of the top players are teaching, coaching, offering resources and encouragement to those of us who need it. I am not surprise as I have know many very strong chess players and they are all good guys.
I would like mention though I think strong chess players are somewhat arrogant and know it all by nature. Just look at myself I think I know everything. I actually start every tournament thinking that I am going to win every game.
(Go on smile and laugh a little bit if you need to. But Let me tell you for many year I describe my self as the best I know when it came to chess. “I didn’t know any of you :) ).

I really like to report an post humors chess stories but they become harder to come by with the long losing streaks on lichess
