Today I share with you a review of a movie I saw this week with my wife. I am a lover of science fiction movies, with special effects, futuristic and others, and looking in the Amazon Prime catalog I found one that somehow talks about time travel, I was very interested in the subject and I invited my wife to accompany me to see it, although she is not a big fan of this kind of movies, later you will see why I mention this.
The movie is called "Needle in a TimeStack", it has as cast some not so well known actors, but the one that stands out is Orlando Bloom, although he is not the main character of the movie, he has an important role in the unfolding of the events.
The plot starts showing a couple, Nick and Janine, they show that they feel a lot of love for each other and strive to constantly express that they love each other, they just live in a world where timelines are constantly changing, and when that happens they communicate right away to know if they are affected, if they are still together or if they remember each other.
At the beginning it is seen that they have a stable life, both with good jobs, a beautiful house and important fact they have a dog named Charlie, but in a change of timeline it is seen that their life is normal, only that instead of a dog, they have a cat, also named Charlie, and with this change, which they do not realize clearly, but in a way Nick begins to distrust that there is something different in his life, he wonders if by chance they have children and with the time change they forgot them and things like that.
Nick takes out a memory insurance, which is supposed to save memories of his life and receive them back in case his timeline changes. This causes friction between the couple, driving them apart emotionally, but Janine records a message for him telling him a phrase that I think is very apt about love:
Love is drawn in the form of an eternal circle, we don't know where it begins or where it ends.
He receives this video and saves it in the memory insurance, something that will help him to get his beloved back.
Nick is suspicious that Janine's ex-husband, "Tommy" (Orlando Bloom) is doing time travel to try to separate them and get Janine back, Tommy is an extremely rich man, and time travel is expensive so he can do it whenever he wants, and decides to confront him to solve this issue, only instead of solving it, things get worse.
A strong time shift happens, where Janine and Nick are separated, they forget each other, they even forget that they have a memory insurance and this is lost, but Nick perceives the change and does everything possible to find answers, He receives a fragment of the video that Janine made for him, only very damaged and blurry, but that is enough for him to do everything possible to return to the past and get his wife back.
My opinion about this movie
In truth, with the theme of time travel I thought it would be a movie with special effects and more scientific plot, as we are used to for such topics but on the contrary, the film focuses more than anything on the effect it has on people and relationships if there were the possibility of returning to the past and change things, manipulate the past to improve the future.
It is an interesting film, because it is striking to discover how the lives of the characters change with each change of timeline and almost at the end you think that all is lost and there is no solution, but if you pay close attention, the film reveals to the viewer details that are exciting to see how the protagonists discover.
I could say that this movie is the kind of movie my wife likes, romantic, about people's lives, relationships and love stories, but by mixing it with the theme of time travel then it is a mixture of the best of the two themes and that's why I say that in the end she was suspicious of the movie and ended up liking it more than me. But it was a good moment to share together, a habit we have been having for a long time, to take some time to watch a series or movie together.

Hoy comparto con ustedes una reseña de una película que vi esta semana junto a mi esposa. Yo soy amante de las películas de ciencia ficción, con efectos especiales, futuristas y demás, y buscando en el catálogo de Amazon Prime encontré una que de cierta forma habla sobre viajes en el tiempo, me llamó mucho la atención el tema e invite a mi esposa a que me acompañara a verla, aunque ella no es muy fan de este tipo de películas, mas adelante veran por que les menciono esto.
La película se titula “Needle in a TimeStack”, tiene como reparto algunos actores no tan conocidos, pero si el que destaca allí es Orlando Bloom, aunque no es el protagonista de la película en sí, tiene un papel importante en el desenvolvimiento de los acontecimientos.
La trama inicia mostrando a una pareja, Nick y Janine, ellos muestran que sienten mucho amor el uno por el otro y se esfuerzan por expresar constantemente que se aman, solo que viven en un mundo donde ocurren cambios de líneas de tiempo constantemente, y cuando eso ocurre enseguida se comunican para saber si les afecto, si siguen juntos o si se recuerdan.
Al inicio se ve que ellos tienen una vida estable, ambos con buenos trabajos, una hermosa casa y dato importante tienen un perro llamado charlie, pero en un cambio de línea de tiempo se ve que su vida queda normal, solo que en vez de un perro, tienen un gato, igual llamado charlie, y con ese cambio, del que no se dan cuenta claramente, pero que de cierta forma Nick empieza a desconfiar de que hay algo diferente en su vida, se cuestiona si por acaso tienen hijos y con el cambio temporal los olvidaron y cosas asi.
Nick contrata un seguro de memoria, que se supone guarda recuerdos de su vida y los recibe de nuevo en caso de que su línea temporal cambie. Esto hace que haya fricción entre la pareja, alejándose emocionalmente, pero Janine graba un mensaje para él diciéndole una frase que me parece muy acertada sobre el amor:
El amor se dibuja en forma de círculo eterno, no sabemos dónde empieza ni donde termina.
Este video él lo recibe y lo guarda el el seguro de memoria, algo que luego lo ayudará a recuperar a su amada.
Nick desconfía de que el ex esposo de Janine, “Tommy” (Orlando Bloom) este haciendo viajes en el tiempo para tratar de separarlos y recuperar a Janine, Tommy es un hombre sumamente rico, y los viajes en el tiempo son costosos así que puede hacerlos cada vez que quiere, y decide confrontarlo para resolver este asunto, solo que en vez de resolverlo, las cosas empeoran.
Ocurre un fuerte cambio temporal, donde Janine y Nick quedan separados, se olvidan el uno del otro, incluso olvidan que tienen un seguro de memoria y este se pierde, pero Nick percibe el cambio y hace todo lo posible por encontrar respuestas, Recibe un fragmento del video que le hizo Janine, solo que muy dañado y borroso, pero eso basta para que el haga todo lo posible por volver al pasado y recuperar a su esposa.
Mi opinión sobre esta película
En verdad que con el tema de viajar en el tiempo crei que seria una película con efectos especiales y más trama científica, como estamos acostumbrados para ese tipo de temas pero todo lo contrario, la película se enfoca más que nada en el efecto que tiene sobre las personas y las relaciones si hubiera la posibilidad de regresar al pasado y cambiar las cosas, manipular el pasado para mejorar el futuro.
Es una película interesante, pues llama la atención descubrir cómo cambia la vida de los personajes a cada cambio de línea de tiempo y casi al final crees que todo está perdido y ya no hay solución, pero si uno presta mucha atencion, la pelicula le va revelando al espectador detalles que emocionan ver como luego es que los protagonistas descubren.
Podría decir que esta película es del estilo de las que le gustan a mi esposa, románticas, sobre vidas de personas, relaciones e historias de amor, pero al mezclarlo con el tema de los viajes en el tiempo entonces es una mezcla de lo mejor de los dos temas y por eso digo que al final ella estaba desconfiada de la película y termino gustandole mas que a mi. Pero fue un buen momento para compartir juntos, una costumbre que venimos teniendo desde hace tiempo, sacar un tiempito para ver alguna serie o película juntos.
Así que amigos, si les interesa este tema, claro que no conté todo sobre la trama de la película, aún hay muchos aspectos decisivos en la trama, pero espero que les guste la recomendación y si la ven me dicen que les pareció.
