Hive music festival week 100 - round 1 🎵 Lagrimas Negras 🖤

Watch on 3SpeakToday I want to share my interpretation of a classic of Cuban music: “Lagrimas Negras”, a composition by the great Miguel Matamoros. This song is a true musical poem that speaks about suffering and loss, universal feelings that we all, at some point, have experienced. As I approached this piece, I found myself reflecting on the depth of its lyrics. The performer's voice resonates with a palpable sadness, as can be seen in the verses that mention abandonment and the death of illusions. Despite that pain, there is a glimmer of hope, for instead of cursing the one who has caused his suffering, the protagonist chooses to fill him with blessings in his dreams. This contrast between pain and hope is what makes “Black Tears” so poignant. The line that reads “I suffer the immense grief of your misplacement” struck me deeply. It is a reminder that loss is not only felt, but also lived day by day. Through the cuatro and my voice, I tried to convey that same feeling: the sadness that accompanies the departure of a loved one, but also the beauty of remembering those shared moments. The refrain, “Tiene lágrimas negras como mi vida,” perfectly encapsulates the grief and melancholy that comes with losing someone. It is a call for emotional connection that we can all understand. Despite the sadness, there is an internal struggle that is reflected in the decision to want to be together with that person, even in pain. I hope that by listening to my cover, you can feel that same emotional connection and resonance that this song has had on me.

Hive Open Mic #230 🎤 The Crazy Week 🎶 Ni Siquiera

Watch on 3SpeakToday I want to share with you a new cover I did, this time of the song “Ni Siquiera” by Antonio Cartagena. I decided to accompany my voice with the cuatro, an instrument that has always connected me with my roots and that gives a special touch to any interpretation. This song, which in its original version has a strong emotional charge, inspired me to explore those feelings from a more intimate and close perspective. The lyrics of “Ni Siquiera” are a powerful reflection of the contradictions of love and heartbreak. It's a song that speaks of the inevitable, of how a relationship can come to an end consensually, but still leave deep wounds. The line “Let's be friends you said, and make love one last time” encapsulates that desire to hold on to what's left, even when there's no turning back. It's a passion-laden moment of parting, where both know it's the end, but try to maintain a bond, even if it's for the last time. What struck me most when performing this song was the rawness with which the emotional betrayal is exposed. The idea that “you didn't even let the sweat of my body dry on yours to give yourself to it quietly” is heartbreaking. That quickness with which someone can try to erase such a significant past with another body shows how difficult it can be to truly let go of someone, and how sometimes we try to heal in the wrong ways. However, in my interpretation I wanted to convey not only the pain, but also the strength that comes from recognizing that “what was ours was just another love, not just another novel.” There is something liberating in accepting that a relationship was important, but it does not define our present or our future. It is a way of saying that, although the scars remain, we move forward with the certainty that what we lived had its value, but also its end. Recording this cover in cuatro and vocals allowed me to give a new dimension to the song, connecting in a more direct way with the emotions it evokes. I hope that when you listen to it, you can feel that mixture of nostalgia, pain and,

Hive music festival week 99 - round 3 🎵 Dulce ❤️

Watch on 3SpeakGreetings my musical brothers of Hive! Today I want to share with you my experience creating a cover of the song “Dulce”. I decided to take my four and pay tribute to one of the bands that has been an essential part of the soundtrack of my life: Los Amigos Invisibles. The lyrics of “Dulce” resonate deeply with me. It's not a song that simply talks about a superficial love based on the obvious, like hair color or perfume. Rather, it's about those invisible details, those almost indescribable sensations hidden in a simple kiss. What I find fascinating is how the song manages to capture the idea that the most irresistible thing about a person is not always what you see at first glance, but what you feel deep down, like the taste of lips that make you go crazy. The first verses led me to reflect on how we often become obsessed with outward appearance, with what is easy to change or adorn. But in the end, what really leaves us scarred is that inexplicable connection we feel, as if a simple touch can unleash a storm of emotions. For me, that's the magic of “Dulce.” No matter how many times the appearance of the loved one changes, what really matters is the essence we perceive through those small, but powerful, gestures. I can't help but remember what it feels like to kiss someone you love, how a single kiss can change everything, how something so simple can become an almost transcendental experience. It's that duality between the everyday and the sublime that makes this song so special to me, and as I play it and sing it, I feel like I'm reliving those moments when time seems to stand still. The final lines are, in my opinion, the emotional climax of the song. It is the ultimate statement that there is nothing else in the world that compares to that very unique and personal experience. It is the recognition that sometimes a simple gesture, a simple taste, may be all you need to feel complete. I hope that by listening to my version of “Dulce”, you can feel a little bit of what I feel when I perform it. That you can remember

VIBES 🎶 Web3 music competition week 20 🎼 "La Que Me Gusta" | Cover by @randolpheel1

Watch on 3SpeakGreetings my musical brothers and sisters of Hive! Today I want to share with you a very special experience. Recently, I took my cuatro and decided to cover a song that has always made me dance: “La Que Me Gusta” by Los Amigos Invisibles. This song has an infectious rhythm and lyrics that, although at first glance seem simple, hide a mixture of emotions and situations that many of us can identify with. The lyrics tell the story of someone who meets the person he likes and, between nerves and emotions, tries to get closer to her. There is an authenticity in that feeling of insecurity, of wanting to be enough for the other person without pretending to be someone else. I think we have all felt that fear of being “one more” and the hope that, maybe, this time, we will be the chosen one. The song also talks about the advice the protagonist's sister gave him: that girls like the giggly one better than the handsome one. It's a simple phrase, but it holds a great truth. Charm lies not only in appearance, but in the ability to make people laugh, to be genuine and to have a good sense of humor. In my interpretation, I tried to convey that idea, emphasizing the importance of being yourself and offering the best we have from authenticity. “I will make you feel so special, nothing will be too normal anymore.” This phrase resonated deeply with me. When we meet someone we like, everything changes. Suddenly, ordinary things become extraordinary. In my version of the song, I tried to capture that magic, that implicit promise that love has the power to transform our reality. Finally, the song ends on a hopeful note. Despite everything that goes wrong in life, sometimes, a smile can change everything. “The little girl looked at me and smiled.” It's a reminder that sometimes we just need a small gesture to know we're on the right path. Recording this cover was a rewarding experience. The cuatro, with its warm and vibrant sound, added a special touch to the performance, giving it a more intimate and personal feel. I was delighted to be ab

Hive music festival week 98 - round 2 🎵 Toscana ❤️

Watch on 3SpeakHello, my Hive Music Festival brothers! The process of making a cover always connects me to the essence of the song, and when I came across Cardellino's “Toscana”, I knew I had to reinterpret it. The lyrics took me to a warm place, like a relaxing Sunday at home, where every note and word seemed designed to envelop me in a sense of nostalgia and longing. The song describes those simple but powerful moments, like a morning coffee or mom's laughter, that manage to capture the essence of what it means to feel good, loved and at peace. For me, performing this song was like immersing myself in that personal space we all have, where memories and longings blend with everyday reality. As I played the guitar and sang, I felt how each verse intertwined with my own emotions. The idea of “pouring honey all over the house” and “a handful of salt to be in my sauce” resonated deeply with me, evoking images of those little pleasures that make life sweet and sometimes a little salty, but always authentic. And then there's that call to “Fly me to your world,” a plea to be taken to a safe and loving place, something we all seek in our closest relationships. The combination of English and Spanish in the lyrics adds an extra layer of intimacy, as if I'm speaking directly to someone's heart, with words that flow naturally in both languages. This cover was my way of paying homage to those feelings. Every chord and every word I sang was charged with the intention of conveying that mix of sweetness, desire and a deep longing for connection. In the end, “Toscana” is not just a song, but an experience that invites you to close your eyes and let yourself go to a place where everything feels right, like a perfect morning or a dream trip.
