Hi all, welcome back to my running blog! With the NN Marathon Rotterdam 2025 in exactly four weeks, I finished my second peak week. Whereas I aimed to do roughly 80km this week - I finished the week with 86km. I was a little in doubt what to do this morning as I only needed 16km to reach weekly goal - but doing longer and slower runs might also be beneficial for my running economy. So I was considering 16 to 26 km and decided after 12km to settle for 21 km so I will preserve some energy for my next week which will be the last peak week before the taper starts.

Hi all, welcome back to my #running blog! With 4 weeks to go until the NN Marathon Rotterdam I am nearing the end of my second peak week. While my initial goal for this week was 80 km, I am currently at 64 km and have my subday long run still open. I decided to lower the distance on tomorrow’s run a little bit but we will definitly meet and exceed the goal.

Hi all, Welcome back to my running blog! With 30 days left to the Rotterdam Marathon and 9 days of peak days before taper weeks start I feel I can honestly say I am confident on my training sofar. Last week I did 77 km, this week I planned to do 80 km. With 2 days left I already completed 56 km. Meaning I can replace my sunday long run with an easier run and still make my weekly target. Or I might just beat the target and add a few extra kilometers.. not sure yet, but great to have some options and let your body determine.

Hi all! Welcome back to my running blog! In one month I will be one of the 17000 runners for the full marathon of Rotterdam. Source: Last year, I unexpectedly managed to get a ticket 2 weeks before the event. Which meant that I had to start in startwave 5 - which was not compatible with my goal time having difficulties finding enough space to find my own rhythm. This year I was allowed early access to the the ticket sale - which sold out within a hour after general sale started! Now I start in startwave 1 - right after the professionals! Sofar my trainingsblock is one of the most smooth trainingblocks I have done - so quite confident that Rotterdam will be lots of fun!

After my last marathon in februari 2025 I did a quick turn around to get ready for Rotterdam 2 months later. I had quite some luck in that I didn’t have a serious injury so I could just continue training (my only injury was that I lost two toenails).

Hi all! With less than 5 weeks to go for the NN Marathon Rotterdam 2025, I find myself in my second peak week (out of 3). While the primairy focus in these weeks is to add more kilometers in your schedule , I also try to incorporate some tempo runs.
