Hello everyone and welcome to this week hive Ghana weekly activities,my name is @quin.lizzy and today I will be writing about the topic"prevention is better than cure".
When I saw one out of this week topic about love vs reality,the first thing that came to my mind was how I lost my friend as a result of sickle cell anemia.
Indeed choosing reality when it comes to letting go of love is something that is almost impossible but the right decision to make in order to avoid so many had I know which comes with tears and regret.
Although it's better not to be even found in that situation, one of the best thing to do or know about each other when in a relationship which can actually lead to marriage is each other genotype.
Mistakes shouldn't keep on repeating itself,while placing all the blame that love is blind which results to the child suffering from birth till God knows when.I lost my friend when she was few days to become 17years
She had sickle cell disease and she fell very ill,after some weeks she gave up.She did went through a lot during and before that period,she was on daily medication and when she was very ill she passed through a lot of pain and discomfort.
The fact that so many people decide to choose love over how the future will be and end up regretting it is so painful.
Even before the relationship would result to marriage,I guess it's normal that during dating there should be medical test to figure out each other genotype.
personally,if I find out a day to my wedding I will have to call it off and consider the happiness of my children and also my family peace.Cause no parent will be able to bear to see his/her child in pain and not being able to help adequately.
The financial burden that comes with it and the emotional and mental stress is something that cannot be explain,to me with God's grace it will be better to avoid such situation and let go of my love,choose to face reality and not just sucked in my emotions.
It will indeed not be an easy decision but it's the right one to make, prevention is indeed better than cure, thanks for visiting my blog@quin.lizzy.
