Last month I went on a trip To Yercaud. Yercaud is a hill station in Tamil Nadu. It is beautiful hill station for a good weekend to chill and relax. We can see lush green landscapes and the views of hills, Coffee plantation, spices plantation and Avacado plantation in Yercaurd.
It is a hill station so throughout the year weather remians pleasant and not rise more tha. 28°C . So one can visit at any time of the year but in monsoon it is the pleasant weather because we can see a good waterfalls.
Two to three days are enough to explore yercaud.
Here are some glimpse from my Hotel.
We started early morning. We went by bike to yercurd. It was 6 hours journey. We took break for breakfast, lunch and to stretch up the body. The route was beautiful and the weather was pleasant.
The road is very good and one can drive smoothly. The lush greenery everywhere.
There are 22 hairpin bends leading to Yercaud from salem. It is 32- km loop road. We can see the true beauty of this hill station. There are many view point to observe the scenery beauty of yercaud hills.
We stay there for 3 days. We didnt get resort because of the peak season so we book a hotel that was near to Yercaud lake. The hotel was good and clean with nice view.
These are the Hairbends. We cross these bends. Total 20 bends are there..

First two hairbind bends are longer and after that its shorter. The bends are like U -turn. The climate was excellent with clear skiesm.
We can see a lot of monkeys there.
Then we went peeku park
In peeku park there are a huge numbers of Birds and animals too. The main attraction was the Bird enclosure. The beautiful, colorful birds will come and sit on us and we could get hand interaction with them. We can feed them and they will fly and sit on us. It was a lovely experience and my daughter loved it. She was very happy and excited.
Then Next day we went yercaud lake.
Its a natural lake. This lake is famous for boating. We can do boating and enjoy the views of the surrounding hills.
Manjakuttai viewpoint!
This is a viewpoint. It is less commercialized area. But the view was good. It is a good place to watch sunrise if the weather is on good condition.
Kiliyur falls-
For this fall we need to walk about 200 steps and then we see a beautiful waterfall there.
Many peoples where taking bath in this fall.
So this was my yercaud trip. Yercaud is serene beautiful place with so many beautiful scenic spot. So overall this is a suitable weekend to enjoy with family ad relax there
