https://youtu.be/Lt8intMCXaE There are a lot of new cars popping up at the moment – a lot of them are fully electric, and a lot of them will be from brands you’ve never heard of before, or that you’re not at all familiar with.
This is the BE11 from Skywell – a fully electric SUV that they are launching into the UK market with. They started life as part of the Nanjing Golden Dragon Bus Company, and are available via Innovation Automotive – a company that have been supplying Europe and the UK with commercial Chinese vehicles for a while now.
They have some stiff competition too – BYD, Jaecoo/Omoda – to name a few, but even though they are new to the UK, they’ve launched here with a proven platform and a forward thinking approach to vehicle care and aftersales. For example, Skywell have made a deal with Halfords in the UK, so that their 300 service centres are on hand to undertake servicing and repairs.
Skywell have also set up a parts distribution hub in Doncaster. This is very forward thinking, as one of the hardest parts of owning a new car from a new brand is the worry that you won’t have any kind of support network if something goes wrong. Skywell seem keen to ensure that you do have a smooth experience when you’ve bought one, as they offer a seven year warranty.
The BE11 has one powertrain with a choice of two battery sizes, making it easy to figure out which one best suits your needs, and it’s choc full of tech and safety. Another nice feature is that all the safety features are standard, so there’s no compromise – things like 360° camera, front and rear parking sensors and active park assist. Nice!
Prices for the BE11 start at £36,995 for the 72kWh standard range and from £39,995 for the 86kWh long range.
So, what are your thoughts? Would you consider the BE11 as a viable option for your next car?
Thank you all, and enjoy!
Annabelle 😊
