While my schedule at work becomes heavy at times, still I always have a time to be idle for a while. Earlier, while waiting for my turn to be seated in the defense room, I noticed that the weather was fair. I stayed outside and enjoyed the colors around me.

Life is indeed too short to work always. What a great moment to reflect on today, along with what has been printed on my dress: to take time for myself. This is a short message, yet so timely. I have been busy with a series of Thesis defenses for my students in the Graduate School lately. However, I feel so happy that all of them will be graduating. I have plenty of advisees, and I am one of the examiners on the panel. This task may be challenging, but it is always a light in the heart to teach and touch lives as an educator for 15 years.

I went to a birthday celebration earlier. It was my grandfather's 88th birthday, and was held at Rey's Warehouse. Little did I know that my aunt and uncle were coming home from the United States, and everybody was surprised to see them in our hometown. I arrived a bit late since I had many things to prepare for tomorrow. However, I enjoyed the celebration, and indeed it was a happy day.

I have been to many places, but there will always be a place my heart longs for, not to mention the Lover’s Lane at Impasugong, Bukidnon, Philippines. I may have been here several times, but it always feels so good to see a breathtaking place.

As the school year draws to a close, it is so happy to know how quickly time flies. The days seemed to slip away, but before the year came to a close and enjoyed summer, we had to face the busiest days. However, there are more things to await as there will be a 30-day mandatory break for teachers.

The series of defenses in a week was quite tiring, yet I have learned that the process was both rewarding and nerve-wracking as a panel member and a thesis adviser in the Graduate school, for students taking up a Master of Education Major in Educational Management and Master of Arts in Secondary Education.
