18,000 Steps, Strawberries, Children and Emotions — Just a Regular Rocket-Mom Day
Friday? Over 18,000 steps! Not bad for an average day in the life of a mom, teacher, and all-around multitasking woman. The morning started with the usual routine — mom-chauffeur driving kids to their schools and kindergartens.
Quick breakfast, packed a few things for our garden plot trip, and launched into turbo-cleaning mode. Laundry and dishwasher basically started themselves (well, almost), but the clean laundry basket? That one demanded a full-on wardrobe invasion. Mission complete.
Then I headed out on foot to work — a moment of peace just for myself.
Once I got there… surprise! Only 10 kids showed up — a true luxury.
That never happens in my group. And while they were all really well-behaved, there were moments that brought sadness and a deep sense of helplessness. I noticed some kids in clearly difficult situations, lacking the support and care they truly deserve.
So I spoke with our psychologist — someone I really trust — and she’s already planning to follow up. She’s reported similar concerns before and I know she’ll take it seriously. ❤️
Most of the day, I was waiting to hear whether my colleague would extend her sick leave. Eventually it turned out she’ll return on Monday, so I’ll cover one of the morning shifts for another team member, and then she’ll switch with me — I’ll go back to my preschool for our Mother’s & Father’s Day celebration. 🎉
After work, I headed straight to my family, who were already waiting for me at our garden.
I stopped by for some fresh strawberries 🍓 and picked up a few things for a quick dinner.
In the evening, I went on an intense walk — gotta keep the body moving too!
Then I peeked in to see how my daughter is decorating her little house.
My husband installed a new floor for her today (go team dad!), and tomorrow he’s off to get wall panels — his little princess must have her dream space. 🏡💖
