An Ordinary Day, Extraordinary Ste Today was one of those ordinary, yet somehow special days. Even though I started work earlier than usual, I managed to leave the house ahead of time. So instead of rushing as I normally do, I allowed myself a short walk through the park. The morning was chilly – the frost from the night still covered the grass and trees, giving the landscape a fairytale-like charm. As the sun began to melt the icy droplets, I felt that it was going to be a good day. Work was really pleasant – the kids were in a great mood and full of energy today. Maybe the sunny weather got to them too? The sun was shining from early morning, and the temperature rose all the way to 17°C during the day! Everyone took the chance to spend some time outside. Although I skipped my strength training today – recovery is important too – I didn’t give up on walking. On my way back from work, I chose a longer route just to enjoy the weather a little more. Then a few errands and some small grocery shopping, and before I knew it, my step counter showed over 22,000 steps! Nothing extraordinary, really, but it added up. I love days like this, when there's no rush and you can just be – walk, look around, breathe. And tomorrow? I’ve got even more activity planned. I wonder if I’ll beat today’s step count!

Fatigue? Gone… after 21,000 steps! The day started quickly and intensely. A morning trip to the bakery turned into a moment of reflection—I found out that a tragic fire had broken out in a nearby building a few nights ago. Usually, I don’t pay much attention to my surroundings—just grab some bread for the kids and head home. But today, the neighborhood reminded me that life happens all around us, not just in our daily routines. Rain was in the forecast, but the weather had other plans—there was a bit of sunshine, a light drizzle, and lots of mood swings in the sky. The bus for Alex was late, so instead of a calm morning, it was a rush and a drive to work. Then… the kids. A lot of emotions, difficult behaviors, and my own tiredness that I felt in every cell of my body. When I got home, all I wanted was to collapse into bed. But I did something else. A strength training session—and then, headphones on, a goal: 5 kilometers in an hour, no pressure. And so I went. Among blooming trees, under a pink-grey sky, with muscles that finally decided to cooperate. After 54 minutes and 47 seconds, I had done it—5 km, 6,476 steps, 358 kcal burned. And that was only part of the day—the step counter hit over 21,000 by evening! I’ve signed up for a class tomorrow—I'm on the waiting list, and four people would have to cancel, so it’s a long shot… But if I don’t make it to the mat, I’ll lace up and do my own thing. After today, I know this: I don’t need perfect conditions to get moving. I just need… me.

Gloomy Weather, Positive Vibes – Over 20,000 Steps and a Smile on My Face Today started with university lectures. The first two were actually pretty good. The lecturer was a bit all over the place, but you could tell she really knew her stuff and wanted to share as much as possible. It was informative, engaging, and definitely worth attending. Unfortunately, the third lecture was a whole different story. The topic – teachers' mental health – sounded important, but the way it was delivered... not great. Honestly, I felt like the professor could’ve used some help with her own mental health. After about 20 minutes, I realized it just wasn’t worth my time or energy. Sometimes you’ve got to protect your peace and walk away. So I did. I took a short walk to reset, then headed home to make lunch for the family – something warm, quick, and comforting. After a bit of rest post-lunch, my husband and I went for another walk. Originally, I set a goal of 5 km, but despite the gloomy weather and a light drizzle, we ended up doing 8 km! We got into a great conversation, the rhythm of the rain and rustling leaves created a peaceful vibe, and before we knew it, we were way past our goal. To wrap up the day, I squeezed in a short home workout – a bit of step, some TRX, and bodyweight exercises. Nothing fancy, but every bit of movement counts! Final step count? 20,577. Not bad for a day that started off pretty uninspiring. Moral of the story? The weather doesn’t have to be perfect for the day to be active, productive, and full of good energy!
