Finally able to do a post! Singapore was my first destination on these vacations, but I felt like a first proper post about them should be about my main travel motto: nature! So, off to Phillipines!Puerto Princesa was my first stop in this awesome country, in the Palawan Island, one of the westernmost islands of the archipelago. In itself, the city is not exactly a must-see place, at least for me; an entanglement of busy streets and nature, with a few highlights, being a waterfont promenade one of them.

After two weeks with shorts and flip-flops, with temperatures hovering 30ºC outside and inside water, with a backpack while hopping in different islands (and countries) in SE Asia, the fun ended today. Coming home is always good, but I wouldn't mind travelling for a few more months.

There are no skyscrapers now, nor apparently strict rules about mundane things as jaywalking. But I do see nature everywhere, in between and surrounding small (and not so small) cities with chaotic streets and motorbikes and tricycles. And stunning landscapes and wildlife.

Holy crap... I was missing this.Been way too long, but finally the "curse" is broken: flying to the other side of the world, check!I was missing the heat, the humidity, the lush green everywhere, the different landscapes, the different way of life, the discovery of all the things you see on web pages but that you finally get to witness first hand. And so far, expectations are surely being met! Even when the first destination is kind of the opposite of what I usually look for when I travel.

Whenever I look at the photos of this location, it reminds me of a computer game called "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time"; why, I can't tell. Maybe it was the proximity of the desert, or the atmosphere of the cloudy day. What I do know, is that visiting this village was a great experience: meet Ait-Ben-Haddou

No sir, it isn't!And no point in pondering about it, while chewing the recently snatched glasses from the dumb tourist that got too close.It will be everybody's business, since I'm hoping to marvel on all the mammals, reptiles, birds, and fishes that I will likely see on the coming vacations. Another continent means a whole new world of creatures, creatures I seldom see.
