Daihonzan Naritasan Kurume Temple, Kurume, Fukuoka, Japan

Hi friends

This is my sharing of visit to https://www.kurume-naritasan.or.jp/.

It is located in Kurume, Kyushu, Japan. The most prominent feature is the huge statue of Kannon or Kuanyin or Avalokiteśvara, depending on the language you are familiar with.

This is the entrance to the temple.

At the base of the main statue are these smaller statues.

What is really interesting is that we can climb inside of the Kannon statue. It looks like these inside.

It’s a few storey high and we can have great views of the surroundings once we climbed higher.

Aren’t these sights amazing?

It was a great trip to the Daihonzan Naritasan Kurume Temple despite the cold weather on our visit. The climb wasn’t too difficult though it does seem like it wasn’t gonna end when we were just starting out!
