Sundays are always my favourite day of the week.
Today was such a beautiful day for me. I woke up with so much excitement knowing fully well my i have a special program to attend. I woke up so early, prepared breakfast, freshen up and headed straight to the bus stop.
I got to service a bit late, just a minute late. Today's sermon was so interesting, i enjoyed every bit of the service. It was so encouraging, from the bible verses to the singing songs, everything was on point. The service was 1hr 45 minutes long.
After service, as I walked out of the hall, I felt a sense of renewal and rejuvenation wash over me. The sermon had been inspiring, and I was grateful for the opportunity to connect with my community.
As I made my way to the bus stop, I couldn't help but think about the rest of my day. My family had planned a get-together, and I was excited to spend some quality time with them. We don't always get to see each other during the week, what with work and daily struggles and all the other obligations that come with modern life.
As I got to my parents apartment, I could smell the delicious aroma of my mom's cooking wafting from the kitchen. My stomach growled in curiosity, I knew I was in for a treat. My siblings and my cousins were already there, and the sound of laughter and chatter filled the air.
We spent the afternoon catching up, sharing stories, and just enjoying each other's company. My cousin's children were running around, playing games, and having the time of their lives. It was wonderful to see them so carefree and happy.
At one point, we all gathered around the table for lunch. My mom had made all our favorite dishes, we were sitting round the dinning table ready to consume the delicious meal before us. The conversation flowed easily, and we talked about everything from school and work to our favorite TV shows and movies.
As the day wore on, we decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. The sun was shining, and the fresh air felt amazing. We strolled along, enjoying the scenery and each other's company.
As the evening drew to a close, we all gathered in the living room for a family movie night. We picked a classic movie and grabbed our milky popcorn and ready to watch. It was the perfect way to end a perfect day.
As I went back home, I felt grateful for my family and the love we share. Days like today remind me of what's truly important in life connection, community, and love.
So far, I've been enjoying my weekend, it has been so relaxing with so much fun.
