It is better to know than rely on AI and devices.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. Language is a beautiful thing whether you understand it or not. In my country there is a record of over 400 languages spoken here, and I know learning and knowing all of them is impossible, but at least knowing a few is something to brag about or be proud of, especially knowing one or two languages while you are not from there; it comes with a different feeling. Sometimes I see people speaking their language; I might not understand it, but I just admire how they flow with it. If you have heard 2 or 3 Fulani men discussing in their language, maybe you will understand better. I don't know how they twist their tongue to say certain things, but it is indeed beautiful even though I don't understand what they are saying.

Language is a beautiful thing. Even though the inability to understand a particular language can be a barrier to striking a deal or reaching a conclusion, the so many languages we have in the world are one of the many things that beautify the world that we live in. It might be a barrier to so many things, but it still beautifies the world. Growing up in the northern part of my country stopped me from being able to understand my own mother tongue, but I understand the Hausa language fluently. It might be a compensation for the one I cannot speak, but every day I feel the need to learn my own mother tongue because of how people tease me for not being able to speak my mother tongue.

Language is one thing that has caused a breach in communication for so many years, and to this date we still battle with it. Even though translators and AI have reduced how much breach we have to deal with, those days traveling to another man's country or state where a different language is predominant, a language you do not understand, comes with a different level of scare, one that scares you to your stomach because you have to start worrying how you will arrive at your destination. How do you communicate with the people over there? So many people have had to give up a business deal because of the inability to communicate with the client or each other.

Today, the story is different thanks to artificial intelligence, translators, and devices that are used to solve the problem of language barriers. Maybe people are friends with each other even though they speak different languages. That is because artificial intelligence, translators, and certain devices have made it possible for them to get acquainted with each other and realize they were like minds, and language was no longer a barrier, but for me, complete dependence on artificial intelligence, translators, and devices is really not a good way to go.

Artificial intelligence and translators might be doing a great job by helping us fill the gap that the so many and different languages we have in this country might have created. They might be (artificial intelligence and translators) doing a great job, but I still feel the need to learn and know new languages. There are times when we cannot access artificial intelligence and translators; maybe our phone died or those devices used are just not accessible at that time. What do we do? Become stranded until we are able to gain access to artificial intelligence and devices that help with translation?
