Well, I guess it's safe to say that the annual fire-smoke season has descended on us in Canada. The phone doesn't do justice to the blood-red hue of the moon through the smoke, but it does give you an idea what it's like here right now. Some days are better than others, of course, but there are a ton of wildfires burning, and that means we're constantly getting smoked out.
Well, it's been another typically busy month around the Cubed household. The youngest continues to grow like a weed, and is currently... gosh, TEN MONTHS OLD?! How did that happen? Time flies when you're having fun as they say.
It's been a bit and I keep meaning to make a blog post but not managing it. I've been working through most breaks and lunches lately, which is typically when I manage to work on blog posts. After work is time with the kids and whatever stuff we need to do which usually leaves it 10pm or later before I actually get any time to myself and by then I'm a braindead zombie half the time.
For folks in the US who make tabletop or board games, Trump's newest round of tariffs is going to be a crippling blow to an already razor-thin-margin industry, which is going to have an outsized impact across the entire market regardless of where you live unless you're purchasing locally produced tabletop games.
It was another fairly busy weekend, like most weekends lately. My eldest had his wrapup party for his hockey on Saturday, and all the parents, coaches, and families had a great time. Kids got to run wild in a gym, and the parents got to chat and drink some beers, which was a pretty great end to the season.
My book, '500+ Worldbuilding and Writing Prompts' is now on @hivelist for 5 HBD!This makes the first non-Amazon link the ebook has been available at, which is a significant personal milestone. I've been meaning to do this for a long time, and it's fantastic that now it has been done. This opens the door to additional non-Amazon areas I can upload it to as well.
