As I've talked about before, I'm trying to use both HIVE and Obsidian as my repositories for everything related to my D&D game. This gives me a place for my players to access important notes via my Player Resources Collection, and Obsidian makes drafting notes quick and easy.
We've all been there. Burned by bold promises and hype that turns into ash the second you touch it. It's not a new story. It happens all the time. A new AAA game will be released and users will find out all the hype was vapour, as the game turns out to be a buggy mess. A new coin will be promoted, folks will buy in, and lose everything to a rug pull. A Kickstarter will promise a game/tool/gadget that would be perfect and three years later you give up on even hoping to get anything at all.
I finished The Fall of Hyperion! I'm so glad I continued this series right away... Fall of Hyperion tied up so many of the remaining plot points from the first book that I hadn't been sure about and turned what was already an impressive book into something extra fantastic.
It's finally HPUD, which means that I can finally power up the hive I've been sitting on for a week. With +341 hive powered up, my new HP total is 2,239! Which isn't bad, that puts me back to about 1/5th what I had at my peak, which when you break it down like that is pretty simple sounding! I'm hoping to make additional purchases at least once a month for the rest of the year but we will see how badly US trade wars with allies hits me in the wallet.
Nearing the end of January already! I'm glad for it, we've been crazy busy lately and Feb/March will both see a bit of that easing off. Hockey season is slowly coming to a close - we've got a tournament this Saturday which will have the family out and about for the lion's share of the day. They're always a good time, so while it's going to leave us all pretty tired, it's also a ton of fun.
So, in my D&D game, one of our players ended up accidentally capturing an imp in his backpack. They've managed to keep it in there, and have spent the last several sessions talking to it, feeding it booze and snacks, and generally attempting to befriend it.
