Sometimes, the simpler the track, the better and today's track is one that keeps things relatively simple, bringing back some of the style of tunes I used to listen to a long time ago when I first got in to DnB!
As the EMA community and EAR label celebrated its 2nd year back in 2021, we released a compilation of tunes from as many artists who wanted to get involved with it as possible and Waves of Motion was my contribution.
I was working on this one more as an experiment to see if I could keep the track involved with as few elements as possible - it's actually the drum beat that has more to it with all the percussion instruments used compared to the bassline, piano and pad synth!
Having less instruments actually made the mixdown (editing the volumes of each individual element of the track) a lot easier so maybe I should use some of that going forward with future tracks!
In hindsight, I probably could have made it a shorter track with the ending but oh well, it is what it is!
Final preparations are being made today for the next batch of 8 tracks going to the music studio for final mastering! I'll be sharing those with you as time goes on, can't wait to get them back!
