Black kite

This beautiful black kite was enjoying the sunny day in Caversham wildlife park. It wouldn’t look at me so I only got a few side way photos but it’s still a fascinating bird of prey.

These raptors are different to other raptors as the can come together in big flocks to either hunt for prey or migrate. Black kites are the most populated raptors in the world with over 6 million birds in their species. Black kites are found throughout Asia, Africa, Europe and Australia.
