@raybrockman found his Hive and Discord passwords! He is back on the blockchain after some time away. Not only is Ray back and still stacking hard... he's also gone and become a GRANDPA!!! Congrats Ray on the newest addition to the Brockman clan!

On the business side of things, I would like to chat with you today about "
precious gems", the #silvergoldstackers tag, and delegating to our community support/curation account. As you likely know, community members have the opportunity to delegate to the
@ssg-communiy account. Delegating to this account entitles delegators to upvotes on their precious metals posts. The "power" of the upvote is dependent on your delegation tier. (
@ssg can assist with all of the details if you have questions).
The account finds delegator's posts that use the #silvergoldstackers tag as one of their first few tags. This tag is meant only for precious metals posts, contests for the community, group meetups, and community news. It is not meant to be used on posts about general finance, vacations, pets, baking, hiking, etc. The reason for limiting how the tag is used goes back to a vote the community had about 3 years ago. At that time, we decided our curation account should focus solely on promoting precious metals. Since the tag "calls" the vote to your post, it is important to use the tag appropriately.
But... we also wanted to find a way to support all of our community's other fine content. This is where the idea of "precious gems" was born. If you post about precious metals and use the #silvergoldstackers tag you will earn a "precious gem". What does this gem do? Well, on your next post about ANY topic (and without the #silvergoldstackers tag) the gem will grant you an upvote from our community curation account. You will only have one gem at a time (they do not accumulate). So best practice in getting the most from your delegation would be to only post about precious metals, or to make sure you alternate your non pm posts with metals posts.
Does that make sense?
Of course post about any topic, in any frequency, or order you wish. We love to see your stacks, learn about your lives, and see your adventures. But please be mindful of your tags. :) Also, I would hope you don't just randomly drop in a photo of a coin to any old post just so you can use the magic tag. We are all in this Hive ride together, so let's earn those lambos in a way that feels equitable to us all.

- Find current members via our tags ( #silvergoldstackers for precious metals posts or #sgslife for non metals related member posts), our community page and our discord. Get to know us and we will get to know you.
- Get nominated to the community by a current member. ( @vgholdingsllc posts a membership nomination post most weeks. This is the post where we nominate and second new stackers into the community.)
- Receive a second from another community member.
- Membership nominations are reviewed and either approved or denied by the community mods. (Current mod is @dfinney.)
- Reap the rewards of community support and friendship.
