Do people give up after success? Sure.

To give up implies stopping to stretch for more in life!

The amount of people that give up after success is quite alarming. I can't give an accurate percentage but I believe the percentage of those who give up after success outweighs those who give up after a failure.

Recently, I saw a short video clip on Instagram from a mentor of mine: John C. Maxwell; he made a statement that resonated with me greatly.

For instance, if you stop reaching for more because you earn 7 figures now, you are selling yourself short because you could attain double that figure.

If you stop at the 7 figures, then you have allowed success โ€” not failure โ€” to stop you. Why should you be that myopic?

Another quote along this line goes thus:
- Winston Churchill.

You would agree with me that failure could make people become discouraged and give up. These people give up because of their unpalatable experiences.

In fact, I would bet you have experienced this before or probably know one or two persons who have allowed the shade of failure to leave them in the shadow of life. Or, those who permitted success to get into their heads. Don't end up like that.

The whole theme here is two-dimensional:
If you fail at something, get your acts together and find a way back up.

Do a Gap Analysis to detect the cause of failure to avoid failing next time.

Many people fall into this trap: they allow success to stop them.

They repeatedly talk about their last breakthrough in business "in 1993."

Wake up; this is 2023!

You can't continue boasting about the success of 1993 in 2023; posterity will mock you. It is a laughable habit.

If you consider the interval, it's a generation already; you can't allow the feat of over three decades ago to become the stumbling block to making headway today.

Whether it was three hundred years ago; three decades ago, three years ago; three months ago; three weeks ago; three days ago or even three minutes ago, don't let it stop you. ๐Ÿšซ

You just can't afford to allow failure or success to become the hindrance preventing you from being all you can be today.

Thank you!

Kindly share your thoughts on how success can be the cause of failure for a lot of people.
