It is the Spring or Vernal Equinox today in the US. The Spring Equinox means different things to many different cultures of this I am sure. This is a day to enjoy of practically equal amounts of light and dark. Personally, it is a great reminder that the sun has returned and the days will begin to get longer. My family practices an eclectic pagan path.
I have resurrected my Rose of Jericho for this time of year. The Rose of Jericho is known as the resurrection plant, which means the plant never dies and comes back to life once gets in touch with water.

This rose has ties to Christian, Santeria, and Hoodoo traditions. The plant itself is known for several things. One of many benefits of the rose is to bring good luck in the home. I use the water from the plant for spell work. One thing you can do is sprinkle it at the front door of the house. I add a few coins and a quartz crystal for my rose.
Other ways I have celebrated the equinox in the past is balancing brooms, chairs, or eggs. When I was a child I remember my mother sharing with us when to balance an egg. This is both appropriate for sabbats at or around this time of year and the spring equinox. As the wheel turns when it is warm enough walk barefoot against the earth and take a moment to breathe.. enjoy the cycles of nature.
