A new scope and first light under a full moon which is not ideal but the best targets are globular clusters as they are bright and dont get washed out like galaxies and nebula. The image i captured was around 100 pics at an exposure of 30 seconds stacked in in siril.

When the sky is clear at night it is time to get the imaging telescope out, i decided to focus on one target last night, i can add more data to this image in the future and it stands at 160 mins of data ATM.The target last night is the rosette nebula, not visible to the naked eye but multiple long exposures allow to piece an image together.

My workspace in garage is up and running and this little scarab beetle is made from scrap silver. The beetle is a chunky little pendant, it clocks in at 37 grams, i will get back into making videos of the casting when it gets warmer, as for now it is images of the finished item as it is bloody cold in the garage.

I have cast some silver for my Sister and Brother in law, she loves her dogs so i made a pendant with the names of her dogs and a drawing of a husky, i used sandcasting method for this and used a small crucible and blow torch instead of my furnace. For the brother in law i made a small telescope with his name on the side, this will be a keyring and not a pendant as he doesnt wear jewellery.

IC1396 is 2400 light years approximately, it is a region of Hydrogen where stars form, this image is the first of the month as the cloud gods decided England needed more clouds.The cloud of gas has many features with probably the most famous the Elephant trunk nebula which can be seen center bottom of the image, these structures will become many stars and when a star ignites the cloud of gas will be lit up and forced outwards causing a cavity in the gas cloud, this will eventually lead the end of the gas cloud.
