Today I'm sharing my hike up Waraira Repano or Cerro El Ávila in Caracas. I've been there many times, but on a #sublimesunday like this one, I ventured out for the first time to walk 10K.
I climbed up San Bernardino, walked along the firebreak, passed under the cable car, went down Quebrada de Chacaíto, continued along Cota Mil, and arrived at Sabas Nieves.
Two and a half hours of walking. I don't know if that's a long time or a short time, but it's always worth it to enjoy the view of the city from above, climb up and down the mountain, touch a tree, feel the air, the sun, and the peace that the place gives you. No sé si es mucho o poco tiempo pero siempre vale la alegría contemplar la ciudad desde arriba, subir y bajar la montaña, tocar a un árbol, sentir el aire, el sol y la paz que te da el lugar.
