I have not been online much and Time did not wait for me, nor did the growth of my plants. I was constantly taking photos of my garden with the best intentions but things do not always go as planned.This season, I started my garden early March. I followed the same methods as the prior 3 years, since I started home gardening. However, this time things were different. My glee when I saw the first seedlings popping their heads through the soil, change quite rapidly. There were also seedlings growing where I did not drop them. My garden was “infested” with chickweeds.

The excitement was building. Posters were all over the city. The publicity was not easy to miss.Pursuant to several newspaper articles, Article in the newspaper - Het Paroollocal broadcast announcements and after months of preparation – it was finally time to perform.

Upon arrival at the store, Emma could see a small gathering huddled around the central table. At this time, 8 a.m. on a Monday morning - table talk was either gossip of the good variety: birth, marriage, promotion or the not-so-good: death or being fired. However, there was an-other category - “other”. Everything else fitted there. Emma felt it intuitively, also from the look of the sombre faces, this morning's news would be in the “other” category.

When @deirdyweirdy gave us more than a sneak peak into her refrigerator - I was intrigued. It was not only because her refrigerator was so organized but because she had something on her shelves that I wasn’t familiar with. Panelle!! She went on to say that it was "food from heaven". I thought wow - I need to try this. I have never heard of panelle but I was curious so I checked Google and learnt that it's a popular street food in Sicily. I have even walked those streets for 7 unforgettable days but did not eat any panelle. Maybe it’s because I was more focused on icecream or because I did not stay in Palermo.

Some days are calm and sombre whilst other days are full of activities and excitement. No two days are the same. Yesterday the sun hid behind the clouds but after noon it brightened up. Beautiful weather or not - I started off yesterday with a pleasant meeting in a charming cafe. After 1 1/2 hours I returned home. Somewhat later, the sun was shining in its full glory and the mood in my household brightened up but not only because of the sun. Why? In order to tell you the full story, I need to go back to last week Tuesday, 4 March 2025.

About 10 years ago a friend told me that her son started attending an “iPad school”. It sounded very modern and unique but to some it was gimmicky and a fad. However, soon after I realized that there were several such schools all over the country. One could argue that it is not so unusual as Montessori schools also focus on how a child’s individual path. If the iPad as a tool supports learning, then there is no issue.
