As an agriculturist and homesteader, I have always believed in making the most out of what I have. Whether it is space, soil, or even time, I do not wait around for conditions to be perfect. I act with what is in my hands. That is the spirit that birthed my pepper garden, right from the egg layer stage all the way to harvest. It was not a fancy setup, just the back of my yard and a bunch of used cement bags. But what came out of it has been nothing short of beautiful.

Looking back now, I honestly can’t believe it’s been a whole year since my cousin sister graduated from the University of Uyo. It feels so fresh in my memory, like it just happened last week. The preparation, the excitement, the family buzzit was one of those days that brought everyone together in the best way possible. She studied Linguistics and Foreign Languages, and watching her cross that finish line was nothing short of inspiring.

To be completely honest, I never imagined I would find myself reading anything that had to do with science or computing in university. I came to the University of Uyo to study History and International Studies because I love stories, politics, culture, and understanding how past events shape our present. I didn’t come here to talk about atoms, circuits, or internet networks. But GST 122 changed that plan. Like it or not, it was a compulsory course for all of us, no matter our department. So just like every other student, I had to read Fundamentals of Science and Computing.
