POR TI SERÈ (Cover) - Brendan Graham y Rolf Lovland (By @mirianjanettrey)

Saludos compañeros Hivers. Una vez más estamos aquí en #hive presentando un nuevo cover, mi persona @mirianjanettrey, junto al profesor Daniel Centeno @danieldedosd2 en la guitarra. Para esta ocasión escogí la canción “Por ti seré” (en inglés “You raise me up”), la cual tiene una melodía compuesta por Rolf Lovland, su letra fue escrita por Brendan Graham y fue presentada por primera vez por el dúo noruego-irlandés “Secret Garden” en 2002, e interpretada por Brian Kennedy. Sin embargo su debut inicial tuvo un éxito moderado en el Reino Unido, fue luego cuando otros cantantes la versionaron que esta obtuvo fama internacional.

Greetings fellow Hivers. Once again we are here in #hive presenting a new cover, my person @mirianjanettrey, along with Professor Daniel Centeno @danieldedosd2 on guitar. For this occasion I chose the song "Por ti seré" (in English "You raise me up"), which has a melody composed by Rolf Lovland, its lyrics were written by Brendan Graham and was first presented by the Norwegian-Irish duo "Secret Garden" in 2002, and performed by Brian Kennedy. However its initial debut had a moderate success in the UK, it was later when other singers covered it that it gained international fame.

Hasta ahora, son muchos los artistas (màs de 100) que han hecho sus propias versiones, pero una de las más famosas es la del cantante norteamericano Josh Groban, quien la lanzó en 2004. Fue cantada por “Selah” un grupo de cantantes cristianos en Reino Unido, los cuales también obtuvieron éxito con su interpretación. Y posteriormente el grupo de ópera-pop “Il Divo”, quienes la incluyeron en su repertorio y la hicieron aún más famosa. Pero esta canción no sólo ha sido interpretada por grandes cantantes sino que también es usada en servicios religiosos cristianos por el contenido de su letra, el cual habla de alguien que está atormentado por los problemas, pero una vez que siente la compañía especial de Dios a su lado, experimenta un cambio de parecer y eso le genera muchas ganas de seguir adelante, porque se siente apoyado y motivado a enfrentar lo que lo agobia.

So far, there are many artists (more than 100) who have made their own versions, but one of the most famous is that of the American singer Josh Groban, who released it in 2004. It was sung by "Selah", a group of Christian singers in the United Kingdom, who also achieved success with their interpretation. And later the opera-pop group "Il Divo", who included it in their repertoire and made it even more famous. But this song has not only been interpreted by great singers but it is also used in Christian religious services because of the content of its lyrics, which speaks of someone who is tormented by problems, but once he feels the special company of God by his side, he experiences a change of mind and that generates a lot of desire to move forward, because he feels supported and motivated to face what overwhelms him.

Es interesante el hecho de que, como el protagonista de la melodía, a través de esta canción podemos sentirnos reconfortados y con la seguridad de que Dios nos lleva de la mano, eso nos da la fortaleza suficiente para sobrellevar las cargas que nos imponen las circunstancias que vivimos, con eso en mente cualquier obstáculo se hace pequeño porque, como dice en la Biblia en Romanos 8:31 “¡Que si Dios está a nuestro favor, nadie podrá estar contra nosotros!”. Espero que la disfruten tanto como yo disfruté interpretándola.

It is interesting the fact that, like the protagonist of the melody, through this song we can feel comforted and with the assurance that God takes us by the hand, that gives us enough strength to overcome the burdens imposed on us by the circumstances we live, with that in mind any obstacle becomes small because, as it says in the Bible in Romans 8:31 "If God is for us, no one can be against us!". I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed interpreting it.
