Though it seems like a fleeting event in the big scheme of a life, it can be a time when the pressures of life force sports and other cherished activities to the margins.My priorities have been on tending to my father's hospital stay for the previous few months. Now that he is gratefully back home, the moment has come to lace my gloves and resume more intense exercise.

Against my first low-key schedule, this turned out to be a quite colorful birthday! Birthdays aren't normally my most active days, but a last-minute change of plans meant my plan to skip to celebrating this year was wonderfully flipped around.

I recently returned from a wonderful getaway to the Belgian countryside. Our family would have fit in a small 12-person house for our base of operations; let me tell you, the park and surrounding region is a tranquil paradise with many of activities still.
