We left my wife's hometown early this morning. The journey was smooth, with good weather and no rain—thankfully! It took us two hours nonstop to get home. The most important thing today was that my dad and I visited our land, where we plan to build a new house. This is happening because our current home, where we’ve lived for 11 years, will be demolished for the Pan Borneo Highway project. Even though our house is on titled land, there’s no exception since the highway is big and wide. Like it or not, we have to move.

It's our second day at my wife's hometown. We got back around midnight yesterday—yes, we caught some fish, but my wife still wasn't satisfied! So, at 5 AM, we headed back to the same fishing spot. Looks like we both really needed this therapy after working so hard. Anyway, have a nice day, everyone, and happy holidays!

Today marks the first day of Hari Raya holiday. I took my wife for a 'healing' fishing trip at our usual spot by the sea side. We were lucky—there were only a few other anglers, probably because most people were busy celebrating. With our kids being cared for by their aunt, my wife and I enjoyed our time fishing together—an activity we both love. Hours flew by effortlessly, and our kids had a blast spending time with their cousins, whom they rarely get to see.

Hi. This pineapple is still small, young, and has a long way to grow, but it has already brought so much joy to small-scale farmers like us. With just organic fertilizer, our pineapples have borne fruit repeatedly. Who wouldn’t be happy? It may not be much, but this is the quality of life we choose to embrace.

The green vegetable you see here is cassava leaves, or as we call it in our dialect, "tunduk mundok." Our whole family, including our kids aged 6-12, loves this dish. However, this time, I had to eat only a little since it was quite salty, and I was worried it might trigger my vertigo. I just fully recovered yesterday after a vertigo attack last Wednesday evening.

One of our kids' favorite places when we eat out. Sometimes, after staying late at school due to school activities, we don’t have the energy to cook at home. So, we usually eat out. This place is called Fairy Dale—cool ambiance, delicious food, and more affordable than other places.
