[EN] This last weekend was our second weekend in a row at Big Bear Lake. The weekend before was pretty warm and we were skiing in spring conditions. You can see what it looked like in one of my last posts here. I thought that was going to be our last snowboard trip to Big Bear this season, but on the following Wednesday and Thursday it snowed around 2 feet of new snow and I decided to go up again on Friday. When we got there everything looked completely different, snow was covering almost everything again and it looked like winter again. Me and my son had a blast on the slopes, and I also took my drone to get some aerial shots.

[EN] It's still Saturday in California! I know it's already Sunday in most of the world now, but we are always behind here. I'm back to Big Bear Lake one more time this weekend. It's our second weekend in a row. So tonight we decided to try the Himalayan Restaurant in the town village. This was actually not our first choice, we wanted to get a burger. But the town is pretty crowded, and the restaurants we wanted to go were too busy. The Himalayan Restaurant is very well rated on google and had a smaller wait, but we still had to wait for a table. I already had in mind that I wanted to get a beer, and right when I got there, I saw some people having this beer in another table, so I knew exactly what to order. Here is the Taj Mahal Premium Lager Beer, a nice crisp refreshing beer. They had it in different sizes, and I ordered a large one to share with my wife. We really enjoyed the beer and the food, definitely a place we will eat again. The kids also loved the food.

[EN] This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.There is an annual event in Chicago that I go with my wife every other year. We love spending time there, as the city has a lot of things to do. We usually stay near Michigan Ave, where all the famous stores are located. For those who like shopping, that's the main spot. Shopping is not my thing, we stay there because it's near the event. But there are also many good restaurants in the area, so every time we go, we try something different. The city has a very peculiar architecture, and everywhere you look, there are always things to capture around us. I was just browsing my phone and found some pictures I took during our walks, we were there last December. Hope you enjoy it!

[EN] This weekend I went up the mountains to Big Bear Lake one more time. Big Bear is the most convenient ski resort for me to go, it's not the best in terms of snow quality, but it is the closest one for me. Since Southern California is much dryer then the north, the amount of snow this resort gets is much less then the resorts up north. Especially this year that SoCal got much less precipitation then average. During the entire season it only got one snow storm, and it was about a month ago. Last week it got really hot and it already lost a lot of the snow it got on that storm. We still had a lot of fun, as we love snowboarding in any condition. I've posted before about Big Bear Lake, but we usually go snowboarding at Snow Summit Ski Resort. Big Bear has two mountains, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain, they are not connected, so you have to choose where to go. We usually went to Snow Summit as Bear Mountain almost doesn't have easy runs. My son is/was still a beginner, and it was easier for him to go to Snow Summit, but now he is riding a lot better and wanted to try Bear Mountain.

[EN] Today I went for a walk at Balboa Park. Me and my wife usually go out on dates when the kids are at school. So we went to have lunch near downtown and decided to go for a walk at the park as well.Balboa Park is a 1,200-acre (490 ha) historic urban cultural park in San Diego, California. Placed in reserve in 1835, the park's site is one of the oldest in the United States dedicated to public recreational use. The park hosts various museums, theaters, restaurants, and the San Diego Zoo. It is managed and maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of San Diego. source

[EN] It's starting to feel like spring! I know it's still winter, and a lot of people are still seeing snow, but here in the south the weather is amazing. It's just perfect for hiking, there is still a cold breeze but the sun is nice and warm. Today me and my wife went out on a hike at Los Peñasquitos Canyon, we started from the trailhead on Sorrento Valley Rd, and we walked 2.8 Miles (4.5 Km) all the way to Peñasquitos Creek Waterfall, and then back. The total hike in and out was 5.6 Miles (9 Km).
