If this post had happened 1 or 2 years ago you would only see a few pairs of sandals and one or two pairs of converses. I had never had more than 5 pairs of shoes in my shoe rack and most of them were sandals. Luckily I now have a small collection to show, although I just realized that it is almost monochromatic...there is a lack of color on my feet π.
For me sandals are the best, comfortable, cool and suitable for almost any type of clothing. The climate in Cuba is very hot and that kind of shoes is perfect for it. Unfortunately the sandals I used to buy are no longer sold here. The Brazilian brand left the country since the pandemic. So I only keep 2 pairs that I love madly even though they have a few years of use.
I recently bought some that I found in an online sales group. I wanted them black, something a little less casual despite being sandals. The quality leaves a lot to be desired, but somehow they fulfill their purpose.
I have never worn sneakers in my life, but circumstances change. In the place I work they sell this type of footwear and this has made me start to appreciate their comfort and also spend a little more money ππ. Now my shoe rack has too many shoes.
I have bought "on sale" some other pair that are just as comfortable and I really like how they go with dresses, shorts, skirts or any kind of clothes. I don't care if they are from the last season or from 10 years ago, it doesn't matter. I care that they are comfortable and that I feel happy with them.
Of course converses always have been and always are, even though I don't consider them very comfortable for my feet. Nevertheless I love them and have always tried to have at least one pair, they are very versatile and never out of place. I like the tall model, but now I only have these, which by the way have been with me for quite a while...they are indestructible π€£.
To finish off are my climbing and hiking boots for uneven terrain. When I bought them I was super happy, it's not a type of shoe you find in stores here normally, in fact I had never seen them before.
I almost forgot my fabric espadrilles!!! How could I have forgotten them!!!! This is happiness in the form of shoes!! My best friend bought them for me in Madrid, she knows this kind of shoes is my thing π...it's like walking barefoot, pure comfort.
How could you notice there is not a single heeled shoe in my collection, I hate them!!!! Maybe someday I'll need them for an occasion...I'll see what to do if it comes π. In the meantime, I'm still comfortable and happy in tennis shoes, espadrilles, sneakers and sandals. Ready to dance!!!π
