This latest season for me was one of the most active. I bought cards, played using all my energy in daily battles, and earn one of my largest amount of Glint in a season. My ranking is below top 100 in Diamond I for the season. This is Wild group where I seem to rank worse than if it was Modern. However my win to loss ratio is nearly 1 at 213 wins to 216 loses. I consider this pretty much a win.
I pushed to use up all my energy before end of season in hopes to get as much Glint as possible. This is the last day of the season and I will have to scrap 2000 DEC for the upcoming new wild season to earn more. Before I go ahead and start the new season I will be looking over the potential earnings if in fact I do play in wild. My issue is the payout does not seem enticing. The opportunity cost to spend for a ticket to play in the wild versus just staking it in land to earn more resources is what I am up against. For small players like me it is worth wild looking ahead before I simply jump into a whole season.
Splinterlands runs on the Hive blockchain. This means anyone can see the history of activities across the ecosystem. Now over the years third party and in game developers have created a whole sloth of information history from when cards are bought to how much Splinterlands tokens were earned and spent. All in all there is a ton of information that is technically free for all to see. Yet for years I have yet to find a point of source to easily see battle history for free. There are paid subscriptions to see the data, but as a casual gamer I do not really want to invest into a subscription. Therefore I rely on generous programmers who is willing to extract the data for free.
I have won and trading many cards but currently my higher CP card is a level two gold foil Sola Ranjell. It is worth 50k CP! Unfortunately it can only be used in Brawls and ranked battles where Gladius cards are allowed. Beyond that I can not use it for trade or for land production. So in a way it really is not my most valuable card as I cannot capitalize on it. However maybe in the future the developers will free up Gladius cards for the possibility to buy and sell.
Some players in recent days have been selling their legacy cards at a reasonable discount relative to current prices. With very limited legacy cards in public market I went ahead and may a few purhases. In total over $250 of cards in cards. This is approximately 5% of my overall current value of my collection, but my main reason of getting them was because I thought they were a steal.
In battles updated on user interface are the stats. Speed, defense and health now are on the right. It takes some getting use to but do not mind the update. In updated guild brawls the frays are slightly different. No longer are there legacy frays where only alpha to Untamed sets are allowed but now its either all sets or all but Rebellion and Conclave. It essentially opens up to variety of combinations benefiting players who simply own most cards.
