Strawberry clay appliqué (esp/eng)

¡Hola mis queridos Hivers creativos! Hoy vengo con un nuevo diseño de aplique para usar en el centro de un lazo, esta vez se trata de una hermosa fresita. Elegí este motivo porque siento que las fresas y las cerezas han estado muy en tendencia una temporada larguísima y es que tiene toda la lógica ya que los diseños frutales son totalmente atemporales, las frutas siempre nos parecen muy atractivas y más aquellas de colores rojos, sin embargo, como deseaba que este diseño tuviese un aire tierno y divertido, algo de estilo kawaii, decidí hacer la fresa en un tono rosado intenso, verán al final del post lo bonito que combina con mi lazo verde menta, así que vamos de inmediato con el paso a paso.

Hello, my dear creative Hivers! Today I'm bringing you a new appliqué design to use in the center of a bow, this time featuring a beautiful strawberry. I chose this motif because I feel that strawberries and cherries have been very trendy for a long time, which makes perfect sense since fruit designs are totally timeless. Fruit always seems very appealing to us, especially red fruit. However, since I wanted this design to have a cute and fun feel, something kawaii-style, I decided to make the strawberry a deep pink color. At the end of the post, you'll see how beautifully it goes with my mint green bow, so let's get right to the step-by-step instructions.

Materiales:

• Porcelana fría (rosado intenso, verde vibrante)
• Pegamento blanco
• Estecas
• Pinceles
• Top coat mate
• Lámpara UV/LED
  *Pintura acrílica blanca

Procedimiento:

Iniciamos formando una especie de gota con la porcelana fría en color rosado, cuidando que el lado más delgado de la gota no termine como el clásico pico si no más bien suavisándolo, dando una forma redondeada.

Materials:

• Cold porcelain (bright pink, vibrant green)
• White glue
• Sticks
• Paintbrushes
• Matte top coat
• UV/LED lamp
• White acrylic paint

Procedure:

Start by forming a kind of drop with the pink cold porcelain, taking care that the thinnest side of the drop does not end up as a classic point, but rather softening it to give it a rounded shape.

Lo siguiente será tomar una esteca de punta de bolita, esta deberá ser la bolita más pequeñita posible (también se puede usar algún instrumento delgado, como un palillo por ejemplo), y empezaremos a hacer pequeños agujeritos en la superficie de la pieza, alternando los espacios entre ellos, estos representarán los espacios donde van las semillas de la fresa.

The next step is to take a ball-tipped stick, which should be as small as possible (you can also use a thin instrument, such as a toothpick), and start making small holes in the surface of the piece, alternating the spaces between them. These will represent the spaces where the strawberry seeds will go.

Estando listo el cuerpo de la fresa, pasamos ahora a hacer las hojitas que van en el lado más ancho de la misma, así que tomamos una pequeña porción de porcela fría en color verde y hacemos una bolita, luego la aplanaremos un poco con una esteca de bolita de un tamaño acorde al de la hoja que estamos formando y con nuestros dedos “pellizcaremos” delicadamente un lado del círculo que se ha formado para obtener la punta de la hoja.

Once the body of the strawberry is ready, we now move on to making the leaves that go on the widest side of it, so we take a small portion of green cold porcelain and make a small ball, Then we flatten it a little with a ball tool of a size appropriate for the leaf we are forming, and with our fingers we delicately “pinch” one side of the circle that has been formed to obtain the tip of the leaf.

Ahora con una esteca delgada hacemos los detalles de la hoja simulando la estructura de la misma.

Now, using a thin stick, we make the details of the leaf, simulating its structure.

En total formaremos tres hojitas y las colocaremos con algo de pegamento en la parte ancha de la fresa, yo he colocado primero las dos hojas que van a los lados y de último la que queda en la parte frontal.

In total, we will form three leaves and attach them with some glue to the wide part of the strawberry. I first attached the two leaves that go on the sides and then the one that goes on the front.

Finalmente, dejaremos secar unas veinticuatro horas aproximadamente, ya que es una pieza pequeña y con la pintura acrílica blanca y un pincel muy delgadito, haremos puntitos en los agujeritos para representar a las semillas de la fresa (también puedes hacerlos con pintura amarilla, queda igual de lindo) y al secarse la pintura, sellaremos con el top coat, curamos en lámpara y listo, tenemos un precioso aplique de fresita para usar en nuestros accesorios.

Finally, we will leave it to dry for approximately twenty-four hours. Since it is a small piece, we will use white acrylic paint and a very thin brush to make small dots in the holes to represent the strawberry seeds (you can also do this with yellow paint, which looks just as nice). Once the paint has dried, we will seal it with the top coat, cure it under the lamp, and that's it! we have a beautiful strawberry appliqué to use on our accessories.
